Food and Drink Pepsi Throwback

I've been excited about this stuff since I heard about it a few weeks ago. Yesterday, I was able to track down some 12 packs at Target. Essentially, Throwback is Pepsi sweetened with sugar, like they used to back in the day. Today, I finally tried one and it was ok. I had been incredibly excited and I guess expected something more.

Don't get me wrong, Throwback is still made of win; it just appears that my taste buds have grown accustomed to the Iowa-grown, flavoring compound.

I don't know. This is the ONLY version I've been able to find (12 packs).

Real sugar, just not the volumetric assload you get in Pepsi.

The Pepsi you get at Mexican Grocers is sweetened with sugar as well. But it doesn't taste that great.. could be the sewer water they probably use to make it.

When I lived in Greece the Coke there was off the charts. Ice cold and sweetened just right with sugar, it had this crispness to it that I've never tasted in a cola anywhere else. But Kosher Coke is a very close 2nd.

Hey Pitt, there's a great Mexican grocery store downtown that sells real sugar Coke that's pretty good if you're still around.

Max is diet, but doesn't taste diet at all, IMO. In fact, now that I've gotten used to it, regular Diet Pepsi tastes like shit to me.

They have that at Hy-Vee as well. It's good stuff and the bottle makes a nice foot massager.
