Field for Chiefs vs. Rams is horrible

https://brobible.com/sports/article/...a-chiefs-rams/

This is why you don’t play NFL games in shitty third world countries.

Yeah but the same guy just acknowledged in a more recent tweet that it might be time to move the game.

More B.S. spin by the NFL.

If the field looks so great right now, then why were they telling on-site KC media reporters to delete pics of the field from their Twitter feed that they had uploaded?

NFL is trying to pull a fast one here, all in the name of money. I hope it doesn't end up costing us our franchise QB or one of our better players (or any players, including Rams players for that matter).

**** the NFL.

Do they honestly expect new sod to have laid any foundation with the current soil in 6 days anyway? I'm not a landscaper nor do I know anything about it, but I would think you would want more than 6 days before playing any kind of professional sporting event on it.

yeah, but with the conversion rate, 6 days up here, is like 14 down there.

Is it just me, or does it look like that second photo had all the bare areas blurred out in Photoshop?

It takes weeks to grow solid roots under ideal conditions. That is going to be a field covered with glorified throw rugs.

Representatives from both teams are there checking out the field. There are clearly still serious concerns.

I personally don't know how either team can risk this. Both of these teams have very legitimate SB aspirations. The NFL has 4 of probably the top 10 players in the league in the game.

I'm sure it'll be an embarrassment if they end up moving it to LA, but imagine the PR disaster - on national TV in the most hyped regular season game of the season - if there are any injuries. I'm someone who will lose money if they end up moving this to LA and I'm fine with that if it means we avoid injuries. This is our year and it would be a ****ing disaster if this game derailed it because of some Shakira'ed field.

didn't Reggie Bush suffer a torn ACL (or some other significant injury) by sliding after he stepped onto concrete as he ran out of bounds? or was that a different player.

can't imagine that sod wouldn't do the same thing after a quarter of NFL football being played on it.
