MO Proposition 3 Enlightenment

I have registered to vote for the first time in my life because I want to. Twice in my life I have registered and voted because somebody else wanted me to.

This is something that matters to me.

My problem is they write these things so difficult till a saintly old bossanovalist such as myself don't know what it means if I vote yes or no.

I can not believe that I am actually going to vote on a marijuana law that actually means something.

I am a political idiot moron dumbass. I study 5-note chords for sambas and bossa novas, so please be gentle.

your noob pal,
Dinny

Something like 90% of all medical marijuana cards issued in CO are for severe pain.

Impossible to argue severe pain.

Section 3 Creating Patient Access to Medical Marijuana

Paragraph 1, sub paragraph (f) The Department may charge a fee not to exceed $5000 for any certification issued pursuant to this section.

(I believe this is in reference to a commercial grow to supply retail outlets.)

I'll look up what it says about fees for home grow personal use (with doctors approval of course)

A grow license won't be that bad. Comparable to a liquor. Maybe 10-20k? Only a few hundred thousand to retrofit a warehouse into a grow.

You'll need a million to open a dispensary.

In fact if any of you are able to, you should buy empty warehouses now.

I think our food truck licenses cost more than that. Way cool.

Home grow is a $100 to get a card that allows up to 6 plants per patient. Renewable each year with a decrease or increase based on the previous calendar year consumer price index.

Better make that appointment!

Even though the time frame for it to become legally available is unknown. Growers have to get licences and then grow it. Just because the Dr gives the approval doesn't mean you can get and use illegal pot. At least that's my understanding.

Hold your horses!!!!

"Within one hundred eighty days of the effective date of this section, the department shall make available to the public application forms and application instructions for qualifying patient, Qualifying patient cultivation, and primary caregiver identification cards. Within 210 days of the effective date of this section, the department shall begin accepting applications for such identification cards."

I suppose they could be quicker than 180 days / 210 days.....But it's a government run outfit that will probably take forever. At least there are limits to how long they can take to get the process moving along.

One of the listed conditions is:

"Intractable migraines unresponsive to other treatments."

There is other wording about conditions that would be treated by prescription meds and another paragraph that mentions "any other chronic, debilitating or other medical condition........"

It's probably a decision between you and your doctor.

Another option for this particular issue is to use the ignore feature. I wouldn't though. I'd rather get the prescription.

I'm a little embarrassed to tell my doctor I read Chiefsplanet. I'm afraid he'll associate me with the nonsense that goes on in the Lounge.

Yeah, sort of the same problem that those guys with erectile disorder have.

Tell them you're asking for a friend.

You just say your back hurts so bad you can't sleep and you are opposed to opiates.

That's literally it.
