Worst part of Indy media coverage of the Colts loss?

Every single look live is from our shit hole airport. Please Sly, please, make the KC airport look like it has a least seen the 2000s.

Anybody that flys MCI for business knows what I’m talking about.

I live in Indy. I will always consider KC home. I’m watching every station here crying about the Colts loss and I’m drinking their tears.

Every video however is from the shit hole KC airport and as someone who takes great pride in their hometown it is embarrassing.

Everything your city puts forward contributes to what people think when they hear its name. 1000s of peoples only impression of our city (thanks Southwest!) is that dump. Already had friends from Indy texting me and laughing about MCI.

Yes JFK and LGA suck but at least you are headed into New York.
MCI is great if you live here and are flying out. I can't imagine how much it would suck if you have more than an hour layover here for anyone else.

There is no better airport for someone flying into or out of a city.

There are better ones at making you walk miles, and there are better ones at being malls, which is something nobody goes to the airport for. There are better ones at generating tax money for the city which is why the politicians are pitching tents thinking about it. But if you are a traveler, MCI is just about the most convenient place there is.

How many people have long layovers there? It’s not exactly ATL or DFW

I can see why it'd suck for business folks, but it's my favorite airport. Just so damn convenient.

You got me. When my plane lands in KC, I'm heading home from there. So maybe they don't?

Everyone I know down here goes to KC over StL because it’s just easier to get out of.

My part of the world it's KC or go down to Springfield. Lambert seems to be only for international flights.

Yes. It's terrible being able to get from the first flight to the next gate without having to walk a mile, jump on a fancy tram and stand on a moving escalator to get there in time.

But hey, at least you get to feel like your at the world's worst mall while you're at you so called "modernized" looking airports.

Hands down the best floor in an airport anywhere in the world. The mosaics In Terminal B are just an absolute marvel. And getting in and out is convenient. Yes, the concessions are lame and seating limited, but I look forward to fast trips in and out of MCI. I say tweak the nose of the politicians itching to run up debt and put their names on something, and also just tweak the facilities, spend the money elsewhere.

Hilarious. "Hey mayor of city I don't live in, if you could hurry up and get this airport built with someone else's money so I have a better flying experience and don't have to listen to my asshole friends make fun of it once every few years, that would be great!"

Oh, and then he tops that off with "I've been here longer than all of you that are making fun of me but never mind the fact that I didn't post for two years before jumping back on the bandwagon last November!"

The time before last I had a sub par experience. A sewer line broke and every bathroom in the terminal was out of service. I took a very slow bus to the last remaining open terminal with a working bathroom. After converting the two, I walked back to my terminal and set up camp at my gate. When we finally boarded the plane we had a 15 minute delay while everyone did their business on the plane bathrooms. Third world conditions at MCI.

Then there are the security issues. It’s been 18 years since 9/11 and once you cross the security rubicon the best thing to eat is the Baby Ruth Bill Murray fished out of the pool. One undersized bathroom slots for 600 people. Think it’s about time for an update?
