Music Springfield Folks: Fun band playing tonight

Some good friends of mine, Bent Grass Green, are playing at the Springfield Brewing Company tonight. Hard to describe their style, as they're just older (pushing close to 40) music fans who play music for fun while maintaining steady jobs. They're all solid players, and genres span from straight up rock to country to rockabilly to punk. Influences/covers: Old Crow Medicine Show, John Prine, Social Distortion, Fugazi, Grateful Dead. They span the spectrum, but they're always fun and really great guys. Go out and see them if you get a chance.

You might have better luck asking for CC rather than getting any CPers to attend a Springfield function. Seriously if I weren't working tonight, I would attend.

I would, but there's a south side pub crawl tonight. Generally, all of the pub crawls are downtown since they're all within a few blocks of each other. The south side has some great bars, but they're way far apart. Tonight, there's a party bus that will be making rounds to all the bars down here, so instead of a "crawl" it's a "ride" I guess. Still, gotta support my fvorite places on the south side.
