Loved me some Eisenreich. He was in KC during my middleschool/HS years so was a big fan at the time... was pissed when he went to Philly.

I was at a game as a kid when Eisenreich ripped a foul ball over the 3rd base dugout where we were sitting and it hit some lady square in the face. It was a bullet and I remember she was seizing for a bit while they attended to her and then took her away. She was ultimately fine but it made me never be comfortable sitting low outside the netting for the rest of my days so I suppose it was a good lesson.

Anyhow, can't ever hear his name without immediately remembering that game. Liked him well enough as a player but he wasn't flashy or exciting enough for a kid to really to care too much about. Not that the rest of our roster ever really was either but....

i know we are on the verge of a winning streak, but I feel like a st joe guy needs to start today's GDT with the St. Joe guy with his big league debut today :thumb:

hasn't happened since Jim Wright's debut with the Royals.

That's good news.

Means Cole is ready to go for his next start.

Cameron will be up next time there's another injury to the starting rotation or they need a spot start.

BWillie 05-01-2025 10:08 AM

The Royals are playing beisbol soon!

That was a hell of a debut for that kid as night. Looking forward to seeing him down the road.

2 games above .500

Fansy the Famous Bard 05-01-2025 02:56 PM

Taylor Clarke sucks.

But the Royals are back baby!!

GabyKeepsMeWarm 05-01-2025 04:32 PM

It's early to be scoreboard watching, but I'm watching the Twins/Guardians and nobody seems to want to win. Two rain delays. And the Tribe just left the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th. On to extras. Go Twins? Ugh.

Sounds like Hunter Harvey had a bullpen session today that went well, and he'll begin a rehab assignment next week. If all goes well, we should be seeing him back no later than the second or third week of May. Clarke might not be long for the MLB team, and Stratton has gotta be on very thin ice, in spite of his excellent effort today.

Man, longing for a Hunter Harvey return.... That's how bad Clarke and Stratton are.

And that went as expected. Twins piss away opportunities and Tribe walks it off in the 10th. For as ****ed as Cleveland is at getting through the playoffs and winning a series, they sure are some lucky mother****ers during the regular season. Currently 5 games over .500 with a -24 run differential. Tigers/Angels tonight. Go Anaheim. Weee.

It makes sense. Their offense hasn't been good. Not as bad as the Royals but still a bottom 10 offense. Their rotation has struggled too, but their bullpen is still good even with Clase pitching terrible. They've still got several weapons down there.

Definitely a recipe for a team that you can blow out if you beat up their starter, but if you get into any kind of close bullpen game they're going to bleed out close wins.

And on the opposite end, you've got the Twins six games under .500 with a +4 run differential. Go figure.

Sounds like a '14 or '15 WS team I once followed.

That was quick. I had just checked his stats in Omaha on Wednesday, and I can see why they cut bait.

I'm sure they need the ABs for someone with a future.

Just looking at career stats at the MLB level he seems like a more useful player than Hunter Renfroe.

Met Taylor with my kiddo at Special Day at the K a few years back. After the meeting (pregame) we went to the bullpen and Taylor saw my kiddo and tossed him up a baseball. Also the kid talks to TC though SnapBook or whatever it is. Just a down to earth guy imho.

wish him nothing but the best!!!
