am I the only one based on the news release's title that thought after looking at our O-line and our QB going down, that Chan is simply relieved that he won't have to be OC for the season opener when The Ravens rape us back to the dawn of man... aka before the advent of the forward pass... aka Herm's RRPP assault... ?

This may just be a case of Haley saying that he wants to take over playcalling at this time. I still wonder whether Gailey has been fired or if he is sticking around as the QB coach.
It's funny, I was reading some article the other day that mentioned that it looks like the Chiefs still haven't found an identity for their offense, and if you think about it, last year it took us a hell of a long time top find one. I'm thinking that maybe Haley looked at that, looked at the situational playcalling the last two weeks, especially in the fourth quarter where we have a chance to win both games, and thought he could do better. We'll see... |

Haley is just trying to be like Norv. OC and HC at the same time.

Is going 4-12 too optimistic at this point?

Gailey took sub-par talent and actually eeked out a bit of production.
Krumrie took sub-par talent and set a record for futility. Beating the dead horse here, but still. |

it would explain why pioli passed on the o-line so much... |
Maybe Mike Martz is on his way to town.

KC is going to get bumrushed week 1. You guys are lucky Cassel is out for 2-4 weeks because he would be out for the year after week 1 if he played.
