While I'm at it, I also find trying to attribute my Warriors hate to the amount of rings Steph has to be an odd one. I was hating on the Warriors on this forum even long before Steph even won his first ring (or got carried to his 2nd and 3rd by his superior teammate). They're a disgraceful organization in every way, they helped form the NBA into the 3PT spamming league that it has become and their reign must end.

It's utterly shocking that a team with the best 3 point shooter of all time and no center would try to create a style that doesn't rely on a big man to win.

I am just sick and tired of the Jordan vs Lebron thing.

Im really just sick of both of them but why do we want to talk about Jordan? That's 30 years ago. Lebrons era is now over. Give him his flowers and lets move on.

Tons of exciting players up and coming right now as well as Giannis. Jokic is like watching paint dry but he is elite. Tons of great basketball going on right now. I hope ppl appreciate it instead of arguing about Lebron vs Jordan.

BWillie 05-01-2025 11:24 AM

Ive always enjoyed Reddicks pod and his media but I have no idea why he was given this job. Clearly Lebron wanted him as they did some pods together last offseason.

I don't really understand what he was thinking rolling with no big man. Gobert isn't even special but he absolutely destroyed them in game 5. Then he didnt trust his bench...at all. That will take its toll. Your best player is 40 years old and Luka is not exactly a pillar of fitness.

Either way the Wolves are just better than the Lakers. They are starting to come into their own after figuring out how to play with Randle earlier in the year.

Although I was cheering against him (and Luka), I like LeBron. I also like Jordan. Both are great and I don't really see a need to "pick a side."

Durant didn’t do much before joining the Warriors and even lost to Steph in the playoffs during Steph’s 1st championship run. Durant hasn’t done dick since leaving the Warriors.

Meanwhile Curry won another Championship and is currently making a playoff run.

Your 3 ball comment is summed up by people try to emulate greatness and that is what Curry’s 3 ball is.

Testosterone and growth hormone to name a few.

I really don't see how that can help you in basketball except HGH for reducing injury.

Many people that use test find that it puts more stress on you when you do large amounts of cardiovascular activity...like basketball.

I just don't really see it as a benefit like it would be for football or maintaining swing speed in baseball.

Correct.

The MJ cult is so hung up on ring culture (because it’s literally all they have at this point, LeBron is literally averaging a near 25 point triple double through his 22nd year in the league), so what better way to expose that ridiculous argument for what it is than LeBron just being carried to a title as a role player?

It’s my dream.

No because it is a comparison of player at their peak versus a players career. I think it's pretty obvious at this point lebron has had the best ever NBA career. It's why Brady's legacy from that lens is untouchable even though mahomes' prime is looking better. But I'll take prime Jordan for sure.

I have absolutely no respect for KD given what he did to the game of basketball, but he was and is a better player than Steph Curry and that became abundantly clear when they played on the same team for 3 seasons (in which Durant won 2 Finals MVPs while being the best player by far on the team and in which the Warriors got absolutely thrashed by the Raptors in the season where Durant got hurt).

Also, only one of those players didn't get pulled for defense in their careers when their team needed a stop and it certainly wasn't Kevin Durant.

Blame the members of the MJ cult who only enter this thread to trash LeBron whenever he loses an important game. I'm here watching all of it and I agree with you (except the part about Jokic, he's a basketball genius and the best current player to watch in the league).

MJ will always have an argument for BOAT (Best of All Time) but his argument for GOAT fell away a long time ago and gets all the more silly with each passing year that LeBron remains a top 10ish player in the game.

Those are distinct things for me. Mahomes is the BOAT but he won't be considered the GOAT (at least by most) until he maintains a high level well into his late 30s. He still needs the longevity aspect.

I'm not sure what Hayes is, but he isn't a "big man." He embarrassed himself any time he was on the floor in that series and he was effectively unplayable. I do think Redick should have played their bench more (particularly Vincent), but their bench is also pretty awful so I get leaning on LeBron/Luka to that extent too (although perhaps not crazily playing them for an entire half in game 4).

When the Lakers didn't acquire Mark Williams/a defensive center for Dalton Knecht (who is completely unplayable himself), they had a hole on their roster that they didn't really have any way to fill.

If Bryce James is a NBA player? Oh, I don't think we have to worry about that Shams.
