I just worry about whether Haley is a bit out-of-control and in over his head.

CoMoChief 08-31-2009 10:51 AM

Any bets that Charles and Johnson are lining up in the backfield week 1 because we won't have any QB's left by the 4th qtr.

Does anyone think Pioli and Haley work like that? Just take the opinions of left over coaches on a team that had 2 wins?

Got a better explanation???

It took Jack (DUH) Del Rio five years to figure out his OL from Coughlin sukked.

Sure-Oz 08-31-2009 10:52 AM

We all know this is a huge mistake, gailey is responsible for calvin johnsons talent at GT

Good point. You'd hate to have a coach who's ego completely torpedoed a 2-14 juggernaut.

So, does this mean Haley will be calling the plays? Or are we going to try to bring in someone else this late?

This is an odd move.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I did notice Saturday night that Haley was calling plays later in the 4th quarter. Wonder if that's when it all came to a head.

Extra Point 08-31-2009 10:55 AM

Krumrie must go, and should have been (if not already) gone before Gailey. I think the feet-wet theory holders that posed Haley's transition to HC and delegating enough to call the plays, are on target.

Having noone stand out at fullback didn't/doesn't help, either.

tk13 08-31-2009 10:57 AM

We'll probably never know the real reason. It could be any number of things, probably some difference in philosophy. That would make the most sense. But it could be anything. Maybe Gailey wants to play Thigpen, and Haley wants to play Croyle. Who knows.
