I think they finally did agree to some sort of deal, although it's not nearly as lucrative as the As and MLB hoped.

Chiefs are letting the Royals take all the heat but it will be the same vote for both of them getting money for stadiums for each.

The Chiefs are actually good, it's alot easier to get people to back your vote when you're a premier franchise with a superstar..the Royals are trash asking for it.

Will they even have leverage to threaten to relocate? As of now I e seen 5 possible expansion sites bandied about. Memphis, Charlotte, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Montreal. You can cross at least 2 of those markets off the list anyway and none of them would increase the value of the Royals day one like the As moving from Oakland to Vegas.

Nashville is one to watch out for.

I was thinking Nashville myself

They will make 50k a year and they want to live in a downtown high rise, have a $2,000 phone, eat out every meal and drive a brand new vehicle. If you are poor, make choices accordingly. Nobody owes anyone anything.

How convient someone who lives in Johnson County and won't have to spend a dime on this abortion chimes in.

You may find cheap land, but it's not gonna be cheap by the time you clear it out to have space to put your trailer and to have utilities ran to it. You also have never lived in a rural area if you think it's cheaper, especially now. In the city you have all kinds of options, but where I live the nearest grocery store is 15 miles away and that place is much more expensive than Walmart or a large grocery store chain. Housing used to be fairly cheap, but now houses that used to go for $40k are selling for over $100k.

If you have a large service provider for your cell service you can pretty much get your phone for free and only have to pay your monthly payment for cell service. You can't find a decent low mileage family vehicle for less than $10k. You seem to have this boomer type of thinking that people can't afford anything because they have Netflix and all of these different things you don't need, but that's not even remotely close to the reason why people can't afford things.

You're ignorant as shit and pretty much a literal tard.

BWillie is a scumbag slumlord whos mad that we cracked down on the STR scam. Mother****ers like him are fine with jacking up prices because he doesnt have to pay for it and makes a profit off of it

Pasquantino out for the season for shoulder surgery. It's fairly likely his best baseball is already behind him.

On the bright side, I brought up his chronic shoulder as a big cause for concern here in the Royals thread (more 2022 than 2023 but I've got posts in both on the topic) and got downvoted. So as big of an L as this is for the Royals, I actually end up looking pretty big time.

Please see the following fangraphs article for the reason why shoulder reconstructions in baseball are rarely ever overcome.

https://fantasy.fangraphs.com/fernan...der-surgeries/

Couple excerpts:

Quote:

Why is surgery on the glenoid labrum still so difficult, even after a decade of medical advances and no shortage of pitchers to practice on? Simply put, the shoulder is more complex than something like the elbow. The elbow is a hinge and does more or less one thing in one way.

The shoulder does many more things and is put together with a seemingly endless network of muscles, ligaments, tendons, capsules, nerves and fascia. Dr. Neal ElAttrache once compared fixing a shoulder to trying to put together a puzzle without the box top.
In their data, out of the 13 players to have a labrum-related shoulder surgery the writer could find, all but two had their wrc+ drop after it by a median amount of -20. So that means they were 20% worse after the surgery. For those to have non-labrum related shoulder surgery, the median drop in wrc+ was even worse at -37. Not many players can get 37% worse compared to average and still have a baseball career left.

Can Burnt Varch be the GM of the Royals as a side hustle? I guarantee he would have this abomination turned around faster than Dayton Moore shut down the stadium wifi on Porn Hub’s half off premium membership event.

The fact that this would only be an extension of the previous tax should make it a bit easier to get approval. The only thing I don't understand is if they only need to extend a tax and not add any more to build a new downtown ball park and a district around it, then wtf has that previous sales tax been paying for? Has someone just been pocketing that money?

It paid for the renovations to both stadiums.
