Except he doesn't have the one that matters. The ability to excel under pressure. Not just defensive pressure, but the pressure to beat out someone else at the very opportune chance to surpass them. He can't handle it. I guarantee that never goes away.

that Ricky Stanzi wins.

Let the Stanzi era begin

I've said since the day that Pioli said there will be competition, that this was the guy we'd see brought in.

wow NostraDumbass... you are quite the Carnac.

I think he's more likely to become a serviceable NFL QB than Cassel is. That doesn't mean I have high hopes, or like this as a genuine attempt to improve the QB spot in 2012.

But for the same reason I was wanting to see Stanzi on the field last year (he's not Cassel), I hope Quinn gets a real shot.

What are you basing your optimism on Brady Quinn becoming a "serviceable" QB?

He's been in the league for 5 years and hasn't done shit.

I watched him play last year during final preseason game. He was all but slated for the #2 QB position and he did not wet the bed nor shit the bed. All of his bodily fluids literally ran all over the bed and he wasn't even rock bottom, he was falling in a bottomless pit.

This explains it all.

Brady Quinn couldn't beat out Teblow on the depth chart.

But there are dumbshits on this board who really think he'll magically become a "serviceable" QB.

Clark and Fat Scott must love the fact there are so many blind dumbshits among the Chiefs fanbase.

Was that "optimism"?

I said he had a better chance of becoming serviceable than Cassel does.

Not exactly setting a high bar.

Or 60/40......or something like that.

I'm fine with this signing. Anything that adds competition is good. I hope it doesn't interfere with signing Manning, though.

I think I am going to take a seat! I am kind of intrigued to see what he can bring to the table. Sometimes it just takes being in the right place at the right time. Maybe this is Quinn's right place.
