It is a waste of time to compare LeBron and Jordan. Both were great players, but they played in different decades at different positions.

Thibs fired. Shocking.

Totally different playera but value must be similar because T Wolves didn't go any further with kitty KAT. Lost in Western Conf Finals both years.

Of course one lost to the best team of all-time so maybe Wolves with Randle are even better.

Yeah, that's going to be interesting. He is a very intellectual and analytic type guy without the goofiness that Shaq and Chuck bring to the table. None the less the charisma is unmatchable to people will still tune in to watch, just like anything Mike Tyson related.

The problem with Thibs is the same it's always been -- shelf life.

He just puts so many miles on his core players that if you try to keep him around for more than 3-4 years, he'll grind those guys into dust.

I think the only way to approach Thibs is use him for 3-4 years to turn the team culture around and get them headed in the right direction, then move on while you still have some wind behind you and before he kills every key player you have by playing them 42 minutes anytime the game is close.

This was the right decision for NY. Now that DOESN'T mean they'll make the right hire to replace him, but I think they got Step 1 right -- move on before he starts breaking guys.

We'll see how they handle Step 2.

Something tells me Reaves, Knecht and the tradeable 1st isn't gonna be enough to get him to LAL...

(but what if the NBA promises to send Milwaukee the #1 overall pick if they make that trade?)
