Yeah don't see any way we get rid of Bowe in any form. The fans would go more ballistic than letting Carr walk, which I didn't mind that much.

Baldwin breaking out this year could help, but losing your #1 WR hurts a lot more than losing your #2 CB for sure. We would have to sign a decently young Pro Bowl WR to make up for letting Bowe go, in which case it just seems easier to just get Bowe's deal done.

 Your logic is a little fuzzy there. I did not say that. What I am saying is that certain teams, at certain times, are more prone to overpay for value. That's all.

Did you miss the part that Matt Cassel is still our QB?

Trade your only legit WR?
HUH??

Fritz88 03-20-2012 12:54 PM

Polio will low ball him.

Polio, "Bowe, you want a Calvin Johnson deal?"

Bowe, "I want a good deal that appreciates what I bring to the team".

Polio, "8 years, 18 millions, 8 guaranteed."

I think seeing how Baldwin develops could effect the possibility of trading Bowe.

If he looks like he could be a # 1, maybe it's possible. Maybe.

If not, no way.

Personally, I have a bad feeling about Baldwin.

Why is this even a subject on march 20th?

As bad as he is we still won 7 games last year which might have been more if he didn't get hurt. Add in all the other injuries we suffered. Obviously he is not even average but I am not going to sit here in March and have no optimism about next season.

Yes you are correct but to me trading Bowe would be a sign of conceding the season for the future (assuming we are talking draft picks). I guess this all depends on how much a fan of Baldwin each person is. And don't worry I read that you don't like the idea either. :D

And why do we need or want to trade a top 10 WR and known commodity in Bowe?

Because he used to drop the ball. And for some reason people think finding good wr's is easy.

Oh, and people were clamoring for a 2nd wr last year. Once we finally got one, for some reason now people want to trade the number 1. At that point, we'll have to draft one again.

I do a little bit as well.

I sure as hell wouldn't trade Bowe.
