Chiefs selected Stephen F. Austin EDGE BJ Thompson with the No. 166 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Thompson had 24.5 sacks in six years of college between Baylor and Stephen F. Austin. He ran a 4.58 40-yard dash at his Pro Day per Dane Brugler's The Beast. He as dismissed from Baylor on account of a failed drug test in 2018, but rebounded with Stephen F. Austin and teams kept away from him in 2022 as he produced just five sacks and 6.5 tackles for loss. |
