Brady Quinn looks lost every time he steps out onto the field. Sad day in Chiefsland.

Yeah but there are dumbshits on this board who are excited about his potential in KC.

Blind optimism.

The hallmark of True Fans.

Brady ****ing Quinn? are you fo real?

R8ers actually making sense. We as a fanbase have to stop believing with blind optimism that for some reason these turds we bring in will somehow resurrect their careers for a franchise that hasn't won a playoff game in 20 years.

Quinn is no sure bet, and I had no enthusiasm to champion him prior to signing him, but he has had a horrible string of bad situations with miscalibrated expectations, where he didn't astound like Cam Newton but also didn't shit the bed like Ryan Leaf, only to be supplanted by; a QB on a hot streak, a QB with more 'experience' and The People's Jesus, almost always on shitty shitty teams.

Now he has a chance with a coach who likes him, a team with lots of weapons, and competition that has no business even being in the league.

Nothing's guaranteed, but it's nice to have, even for a moment, something other than a black cloud of utter uselessness at QB for the foreseeable future. I'm not crowning anything, but I will let him make his case.

LMAO You poor, clueless bastards.

We could have just kept Orton, at least he was arguably better than Cassel.

lcarus 03-17-2012 08:15 PM

What was the point of even drafting stanzi? Did they spend a 5th round pick just to have a guy roam the sideline as a 3rd string? If he doesnt get a shot with cassel and quinn on a roster, he might as well retire and get into coaching

Your running game is going to be good, Defense good, O line good, got a stack of cash left and bring in a dumbass like Quinn...

I just don't get it...

We went from emulating new England to becoming Cleveland west, I was hoping that Romeo had learned from his first hc job. I'm thinking I might be very wrong.

So the argument for Quinn is that he's cheaper? Who gives a **** how much he costs?

Based on that evidence, what are you basing your optimism on?

What?

Explain.

You are apparently one of the dumbshits who views a positive in any shitty QB the Chiefs add to the roster.

The Chiefs have managed to find one of the few QBs who is worse than Cassel.

**** off with your 'explain, explain, explain.'

If you paid the least amount of attention you'd already see that;

I'm only optimistic in the sense that Cassel offers ZERO, NONE, ZILCH optimism. He'll never amount to squat, his only value is comedic, and he shouldn't be in the league.

Quinn lost out to Anderson because Anderson was on what qualifies as a hot streak in the bleak wildnerness of Browns-land.

He lost out to Tebow in a PR contest with Jesus, not a skills comparison.

I also refute that he's been horrible every outing. He's no Cam Newton, but he hasn't shown futility like Cassel or Leaf.

And yes, so long as Cassel is the starter, any QB who's show even a glimmer of competence in the NFL is a step up. The closest Cassel has ever come to a glimmer is 'competently' following his coaches' strict instructions not to attempt risky passes against shitty shitty competition.

Bowser 03-17-2012 08:20 PM

You know what, Quinn being here means Palko isn't. A step forward, at the very least.

BONUS - Maybe Quinn can show Cassel that it IS possible to throw a tight spiral down the field 40+ yards. And how to not throw picks on screen plays.
