If nothing else, Pioli and co. sure know how to keep the Chiefs in the news! Don't blink with these guys. Wow.

I love it. Your HC is already using scapegoats because your offense sucks a55. I mean, really? The regular season hasn't even started.

Way to alienate the rest of your staff Einstein.

Thigpen sucked azz. LJ, Charles, Bowe, Lelie all looked pretty good.

Uh, Dumbo, Gailey was a holdover from last year.

He didn't scapegoat anyone. He said in his presser that the ultimate accountability is on him and because of that he wants to call the plays.

I just got off the phone with Piloi. He thinks that Chan will quit, take a job in Seattle and then the Seahawks will trade 2 first round picks for Thigpen.

Quiet Storm 08-31-2009 01:36 PM

I understand Gailey was a hold over from last year. Honestly, did he have a lot to work with last year? Now that he is in Haley's system, he was going to run the offense in accordance to what Haley wanted, it wasn't as though Gailey was going to be calling plays that weren't in Hailey's playbook. Obviously, Hailey can do both (Norval does and does a good job) but with still a few weeks before the season, one would think they could have ironed out a few of the issue with them team.

Hailey begs to differ.

Who is this Sparkler Vagina, people?!

Have a hot plate of STFU.

I bet this happened right after Gailey called the 3rd down redzone fade pass from Thigpen on Saturday, the 500th time he's dialed that up in the last year.

If not, it should have.

GAILEY RELEASES STATEMENT
August 31st – 2:46 PM

“There’s never great timing for situations like this. However, Todd has to do what’s best for the team and for the future of the Chiefs. I respect that. It didn’t work out for us, but I certainly think that he has a very fine offensive mind and I feel very fortunate to have worked for the Chiefs these past two years.

“I look forward to seeing how I might be able to help the franchise in the near future in other areas.”

Gailey is a stand up guy. A lot of dudes would tell the head coach to screw off and go find a job with another team if they wanted to demote them.

What an asshole. It makes me sick that we had someone like this on our team for the past couple years.

yep.

I imagine he will scout opponents for his salary he was to collect and then get back into coaching next year if that's what he wants.

Class act.

I wouldn't go that far.

It's called "Not Burning Bridges".

The NFL is very small clique.
