It was a pure choke for sure. I figured as soon as Denver fouled Chet that he'd miss at least one FT and that the Nuggets would have a chance to win that game. Not good when you're thinking that about one of the team's best players.

OKC needs to ensure the games aren't close in this series. Otherwise, you have to give the edge to Jokic/Murray in them.

The game’s best players now are Serbian, Canadian, and Slovenian these days if you haven’t noticed. The world is getting closer.

That was my point. I had some youngheads trying to tell me different.

I played pick up with Kirk Hinrich back in the day. Stole the ball from him once at the hyper center when he was a sophomore and I was in middle school haha. If you remember Ben Jacobsen (the player not the coach) who took Northern Iowa on a NCAA Tournament run in 2006 or 2007. I played ball with him and he was on our golf team in high school. Won us the State Championship in bball.

Lue and Crudup went to Raytown South High School. I don't know where they grew up. Peeler big timed everyone even then, Lue was all about ball, and Crudup was only there to back people down.

There were some fights, especially after some older players started getting pissed off and started bagging on Crudup for having very large nostrils. Watching a bunch of the bigger guys get walked down was probably the first time in my life I was glad I wasn't taller.

KC_Connection 05-06-2025 07:48 PM

So…anybody still think the Cavs won’t want LeBron after this epic chokejob?

Eureka 05-06-2025 07:48 PM

How does that last min in Cleveland happen? Just WOW!

Maybe, they will need LeBron next year.

tyecopeland 05-06-2025 07:48 PM

Alright. Cavs should trade for LeBron because they are going to hit the caveat I gave.

Well Curry to the locker room.

Could be out for the game or another 2016 vs Thunder kind of return performance.

KC_Connection 05-06-2025 08:21 PM

What the hell are the TWolves doing offensively right now

KC_Connection 05-06-2025 08:24 PM

4 threes for Draymond, he can be their new Steph

In58men 05-06-2025 08:33 PM

Curry ruled out for the remainder of the game

There are times when Minnesota looks like the obvious favorites to win it all.

There are also times when Minnesota looks like the obvious favorites to win the draft lottery.

Really ****ing frustrating that they've gone two straight games playing like this.

If only that also explained the TWolves (an elite defensive team) getting torched defensively by a Curry-less Warriors team with a bunch of scrubs on the floor at all times.

That doesn't look to be the case after game 1. You still sticking with the "trash them" Warriors?

Heck the Warriors held the Wolves to under 90 points. Even with Curry out the Warriors continue to show what a great team they have been towards the end of the season.

It's only one game but that defense the Warriors are playing is a tough out. Steve Kerr deserves a lot of credit as well.

I know it still hurts that Steph has gotten the best of LeFraud in the finals over the years. LeFraud is on vacation. Steph's team is still playing. I am going to throw a party when either LeFraud leaves the Lakers or retires. This is all about Steph not getting a one up in rings over your fake king. Which Kobe already has in less attempts, including a B2B WITHOUT SHAQ!

When was the last time away teams started 5-0 in the conference semis? Wonder how uncommon that is

Don't get me wrong -- the Warriors play tough defense, but Minnesota running its offense around the brick a bunch of 3s strategy is what's causing them to completely melt down like they did last game against LA and last night.

If they shoot at a reasonable percentage (not even excellent, just tolerable) then it at least becomes a series, although the Warriors are still probably better.

Would also be cool if, you know, Anthony Edwards decided to try in the first half of games. That team isn't good enough for him just to coast like he's been doing too often.

Time.for them to go home after how they let the Knicks come back like that twice at home.

Its the same team as last year that won the title.

Sometimes you play bad.

Its why sports are sports. Shit happens. Especially since they chuck threes. If you miss youre gonna lose.

I'm rooting for the Knicks but this in no way discredits Bostons title last year.

"It's why they play the game" as my dad and everybody's dad says.

The Celtics could still come back. I'm pulling for the Knicks as well. However it they go up 3-0 this will be another shot for the 0-3 comeback that has never happened in the NBA. But has to happen some day.
