When an old person dies, it's like a library burning down

It sure is. I really miss all the stories my materal grandmother used to tell me. Wish I'd written some of it down, too. She's been gone so long at this point, God only knows how much I've forgotten. :(

Great analogy. How true that is. She had seen so much and been through so many hardships they stories she told of her youth, the depression and dust bowl always were rivoting to to. Life was so much different for that generation. Just imagine how much change she saw in her 95 years. Crazy to think about it really.
