There are still quite a few players out there who will be affordable AND help this team.
(S) Melvin Bullitt (NT) Derek Landri (G/T) Geoff Schwartz among others... |
Chiefs aren't done shopping for players; unfortunately for us, the shopping is taking place at Aldi, and Montgomery Ward.

But it's hard at this point to say anything about it. They've made some very nice moves this offseason. Everybody has to put any "cheap" comments in their back pocket for now. |

I agree with the Winston signing. I think that is our premiere pick up for this FA period. Which is fine. I'm just not expecting anything worthwhile going forward, that's all. |

Would Mike be a nice addition this year? Sure. But I think the Chiefs would be better served drafting a back in the mid rounds in the Jamaal Charles/all round RB mold. Basically looking for Jamaal's eventual replacement. We have the power back in Hillis. Furthermore, RB is a young mans game that's easy to fill in the draft. I liked the Hillis signing but I wouldn't want them to go crazy in spending $$ on older RBs. Save that for the draft. |

Didn't know that about Tolbert also. So basically scratch my last post.

Cassel will have to learn a new system
Still using Patriot terminology FOUR years in won't fly anymore |
Pioli has done a pretty great job this free agency. Outside of the qb spot, but free agency is really the place you wanna be finding a long term answer.
Use the draft to get your cornerstones and free agency to fill around them. We need to bring in some more solid role players in free agency. Maybe some safety depth or another olineman. Schwartz would be great. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with this haul. |
