I don't ever remember seeing him play. I can't imagine he's worse that Cassel. I'm still hoping they draft a QB.

The one thing Stanzi has going for him right now, is that everyone is learning a new system... Cassel doesnt have the jump on him in that regard, in a way, the field has been leveled.

But he's going to have to make the clear cut distinction... in camp & preseason, between himself & his competitors that quinn was never able to in ANY coaches eyes... between his playmaking ability & Cassels.

Its an awful lot to ask of a second year fifth rounder i know... making it so PERFECTLY clear that even Pioli has no choice but to agree... i can only hope he's the exception who is up to the task.

As for Quinny, he's not even on this team in my world.

I doubt the system is a whole lot different than the one We've had since Pioli/Haley/Weis/Muir/Crennel got here. Especially for Quinn who had DaBoll as an OC previously. All these coaches are from the same tree..

Am really rooting for Stanzi to kick ass this year. I like him better than Brady Quinn.

Quinny, as you called him, has a leg up since he's already familiar with Daboll.

I'd like to see Stanzi play with the first team in PS. I want to see what so many of you see in him.

How is Quinn not a factor when he probably knows Daboll's offense better than both Cassel and Stanzi?

Casshole doesn't even know how to put a hat on, someone has to be able to beat his noodle armed ass!

Fine points, but each oc has their own list of demands & more than superficial tweaks.

Even with quinns familiarity with DaBoll, i dont see him doing anything with it... if i'm wrong & quinn takes off like a rocket then HALLELUJAH, but its hard to see.

ps to all of the professors - was well aware that quinn & DaBoll worked together, JFC.

I never thought about learning a new system. But scott, isn't Daboll from the tree? So the playbook is pretty similar? Like the lingo is pretty much identical? Just watched NFLN, they talked a bit about the Chiefs at the end of the show, and Jamie Dukes was saying they have a QB problem. And some other dude was saying, they have Cassel. And Dukes was like,"yeah that's the problem." And then the same guy said, but he's fully healthy, and Dukes said,"He can be whatever he wants...he's not the answer at quarterback." It was great.

So did Brady bring his GF to town?

Really? His stats to date are worse than Cassel's. Cassel is a mediocre QB better suited to be a backup. Quinn is a poor QB who has very little room to play with before he is out of the league. He is also someone who should never be more than a backup.
