It's possible, however, that with some maturity, and better pocket overall, and fewer hits, that his courage improves. |

Daboll was his OC......so he already has familiarity with the offense.

Thank you Chiefs...

Although he isnt the sexiest Quarterback we couldve gotten, I think he is our best chance at a legit QB competition (besides the obvious). Crennel was his coach, Daboll has been his OC, so maybe they will tire of Cassel IF he plays like crap and force the hand of Pioli to give Quinn a decent shot.

Rock on. A young QB with some experience. About damn time. Hit the draft for another and at least we will have someone to try and possible be the man around here. Eventually one of them has be good.
Dump Matt and let Stanzi, Quinn and a draft choice fight it out. |
The only thing this proves to me is that Pestilence got copies of Cassel's compromising Pioli pics.
|
Quinn does have some buddys on the coaching staff. If he can convince them to bench Cassel, then Quinn did all we can ask of him. We all know at this point that we are probably looking at a 1 and done playoffs. We have to ATLEAST get the Cassel issue solved.

I'll say this much, if Cassel comes out and stinks it up, and he doesn't get benched for Quinn, then yeah, Pioli is a big fat ****ing liar.

Wouldn't it be fun to go back to that draft day here and see if anyone was clamoring for Quinn then who is not now?

Fat Scott managed to find a QB who Cassel can beat out in a QB "competition".
What a joke. |

Botom line it. Is Jimmy Clausen starter material in your opinion? |

Great signing! I hope he beats out Cassel, he has weapons and a defense like never before. He's still young too with a lot of potential.
|
There really no downside to this signing. If he turns out we are set, if he fails we are in a position to draft one.

If the Chiefs aren't finished and add Hasselbeck (if he becomes available) or draft a QB then your statement is correct, however if this is Fat Scott's idea of legit competition for Cassel then say hello to another year of shitty QB play in KC. |

Why celebrate the Chiefs adding a shitty QB? |
**** it. Whatever.
Cassel: It is clear that he isn't our franchise QB and think the comments by Clark, Pioli, Crennel, and Co. show that. Whether they were saying what the media wants to hear or not; I think they know that he isn't the long-term answer. Quinn: Has played under Crennel and Daboll before. He know Daboll's offense better than either of the two other Chiefs QBs now. I agree he has never had the tools before that he now has in KC. I am not getting my hopes up...but who knows. Of all the teams looking to sign a backup, he couldn't have found a better situation for himself IMO. Stanzi: This is Pioli's guy...too. He drafted him. I've mentioned it before; I wouldn't be surprised if we weren't beefing up our run game for Stanzi to use as a crutch during his first year as a starter. Much like Cassel had his 2nd season, Stanzi wouldn't have to carry this team, rather manage it. Maybe "Egoli" would be willing to part with his golden-boy to move onto his other-boy. He could still feed his ego if success is found in Stanzi. I am not sure what the point of this post is...it's more or less just thinking aloud (or typing). **** you if Q~! |

I find it pathetic to watch people on this message board trying to find the positive in signing Quinn. This is the guy who hasn't been able to beat out the likes of Charlie Frye, Derrick Anderson and Tim Teblow during his NFL career. |

That being said, at the end of the day, hell, at the beginning of the day, no one give's a **** what you think. |

So.....who should they have signed then?
Derek Anderson? Chad Henne? None of those guys even had ****ing visits here. |

Would you rather have Tebow or Quinn?
|
What is different from the offense we were running vs the offense Daboll will be implementing?
Other than Quinn already being familiar with Daboll's offense form Cleveland; which of the 3 quarterback would do best running his offense? If that makes any sense... |
