Feel like he looked great at first and then fell of a cliff.

He's fine, we shouldn't be punting as much next year anyway.

He was fine most of the year.

He was hot garbage in the postseason. He was a virtually guaranteed touchback and in most cases put the damn thing into the end-zone on the fly.

That's really inexcusable. It's just lazy.

Take a bad bounce in a ball you landed at the 8 and it skips in? Sure. Those happen.

But you just cannot land the thing in the end zone.

The ghost of Colquit streaking breaks them all momentarily

He wasn’t horrible or anything. But he didn’t quite feel like the elite franchise punter I was lead to believe.

Especially in the playoffs.

I think I got spoiled by Dustin Colquitt's placement. Townsend boomed punts but had little placement, and Araiza had no placement at all.

true, at first he seemed pretty good with some slick back spins on the ball but overall I didn't see how he got his nickname

Have to remember he was out of the game for a year. Also he was only ever known as a big leg. I’m sure he’s getting coached on the finer points now.

Townsend was terrible in Super Bowl 55, but he came back to do a damn good job later. I'm sure Araiza will be ok.

Didn’t live up to expectations

PAChiefsGuy 03-07-2025 05:34 PM

He's garbage

scho63 03-07-2025 06:30 PM

He felt like a much worse punter than his stats, which was 10th best.

He did a little worse on the playoffs.

Not as bad as imagined.

TheGuardian 03-07-2025 06:49 PM

It's wild how much the punter ends up meaning to you in close games because if he can't pin the other team, then they constantly get a leg up.

Colquitt was clutch at that. I hope that Araiza can figure out his placement this offseason.
