Don't count on it fellas. You'll have us and the Raiders fighting you for it just in this division alone.

I hope Mays shows that he has playmaker ability this season. He is a freak athlete. What around 6'3 230lbs and could run in the 4.3-4's.
Gotta love these two plays from Berry though. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Kk7Oj8wmRLQ&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Kk7Oj8wmRLQ&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> |

It's time to step away from the d-line. It seems that 75% of our first round picks are d-line and we still haven't gotten 1 great player. Although I think Jackson will end our bad streak.
I'd be happy with Taylor Mays if we pick #7 or beyond. Cody is a hell of a prospect, but still. Gresham wouldn't be bad either, but if there are any o-lineman out there we need to go for that too. Whoever said we shouldn't go after any tackles this offseason because you don't pay too much money to a right tackle, well, how do ya feel about that now? |
As of right now (without reading the rest of the thread), my draft board (based on needs) goes:
1. Eric Berry, S, Tennessee. Guy has the least amount of question marks and I think he's going to be a monster/superstar S. 2. Terrence Cody, DT, Alabama. Monster DT and although I don't like taking a DL 3 years in a row, it's a very important position and Cody is a helluva prospect. 3. Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma St. Considering we have abosolutely no big playmakers outside of Bowe, we need one. If we're bad enough to be picking in the top 3, I'd pass (unless we sign a sh*tton of free agents), but he could be a great WR, especially opposite Bowe. Those are my top 3. Mays seems like a slightly better version of Pollard to me (goes for the big hit to often for my taste from what I've seen, which is admittedly a small amount) and I hope we can find some good LB prospects in the middle rounds. Same with RT, I hate the thought of drafting any OL that aren't LTs in the 1st. |

I still feel it would be wrong to take a tackle at #3 when you already have a LT. We could have went OL later in the draft though. If/when we pick high again I still won't want to go RT. I don't know about Cody, he seems like a major risk as a player that will eat himself out of the league once he gets his big payday. Has anyone watched any tape of Boo Robinson as a NT we could take with one of our 2nds or 3rd? I would love to get Mays or Berry. Berry is the kind of playmaker that we could use and Mays is just an athletic monster that would be a force (I'm curious to see if he shows playmaker potential this season) |
I must be like the only guy who isn't really a fan of Dez Bryant.

Everybody knows that the hand of god will come down from the heavens and smack the teams GM that holds that number one pick..Goodell will walk to the podium with a glorious light bestowed on him and he will read these immortal words.."With the first pick in the 2010 NFL draft..the (insert team name) select..Tim Tebow"

WIN MOTHER****ERS! WIN! WIIIIIIINNNNNN! WIN FOUR GAMES, YOU SORRY ****S!!!!! |
It will NOT be Jermaine Gresham
the chiefs will probably not have a super high caliber TE on the roster as long as todd haley is here |
I would love to have one of the elite prospects in rd 1 (cody, Berry/Mays, Spikes, or Bryant) and have Selvie in the 2nd, if he doesn't have a spectacular year and falls.
|
The most physically gifted TE that got drafted over these few years won't be Jermaine Gresham...it's Martellus Bennett, Dallas got a massive steal with that guy.
|
Cody, or Berry...........or Mays.
