My brother cheated on his wife at the time several years ago. We were all on her side until she started posting that shit online and trying to drag everyone into it. Yep, we are out of it at that point. It is shitty to get cheated on, it is dumb to air that shit in public.

To make sure Smith's wife and family know about it? Bad publicity is not good for public figures, and this being made public will cause some problems for Smith. It might be minor problems it might be major problems. Glass houses and such.
