If you’re taking suggestions, feel free to reenact the Bud Dwyer press conference.

Baseball is more popular in America than your shitty NBA, so go **** yourself. Nobody cares if you watch baseball.

Why Not? 04-26-2025 09:07 PM

Lol. A little baseball history tonight. The Dbacks become the 2nd team ever to lose a game in which one of their players hits 4 homers in the 8-7 defeat to the Braves, who ironically where the first team to pull off that “feat” in 1986.

As an aside, what other ballplayers have an origin from Kansas? Johnny Damon. Ted Power. Darren Dreifort. Walter Johnson. Those are off the top of my head.

Bubic getting some press in a pretty big time publication. Reading the full article is recommended cause it has charts and graphs and such.

Excerpt:

The Royals have recently seen a resurgence in terms of pitching dominance, with names like the sensational Cole Ragans and the kitchen sink king Seth Lugo on the minds of fantasy managers and Cy Young voters alike. While we have come to expect dominance from these guys on the mound, there is another pitcher who is quietly looking like Kansas City’s next ace.

Kris Bubic has been a revelation this year. For years, the former first-round pick seemed to be another cog in a rather dysfunctional Royals organization. His ERA and WHIP were high, while he rarely struck out any batters. Teams facing him would often go on hit parades, crushing the erratically placed fastballs and hung breaking pitches.

However, as you can tell just by looking at his strikeout and walk rates, a lot has changed in recent seasons.

Bubic was always my favorite out of that draft class. When he was dominating the minors I was saying hed be better than Singer, Lynch, etc. It just took him a bit longer, because of that damn injury. At least he got it out of the way.
