Watson’s an okay player, not his fault that we have lost our top 2 WRs from the start of the year.

That being said, assuming everyone else stays healthy and Hollywood returns he should be getting no more than a handful of snaps on offense come playoff time.

Watson is probably the least controversial player on the team. LMAO

He does his job, and he does it competently.

You think hes a competent #1 WR? Because that has been his job pretty much since week 4 after Rice went down.

I'm not gonna be surprised if when Hollywood comes back Xavier Worthy is going to be the one to lose snaps and not Watson.

You’re such a fool. Blame Reid or Veach or Mahomes then. He’s performing exactly as he was signed to do for his compensation.

You keep mentioning that he’s a “#1 WR.” Is he being paid as one? Did the Chiefs bring him on to be that type of receiver and he hasn’t lived up to it?

JFC.

What evidence is their that Mahomes trusts Watson more than any other receiver? I don't wanna hear anything he said, because Mahomes is always gonna say the right thing. He's played in 63% (484 snaps) of the snaps on offense and has 22 targets in 11 games. 2 targets a game for the guy with the most snaps among our WRs is pretty shitty. He has 0 TDs this year and only 10 first down catches.

He does trust DeAndre Hopkins and that's pretty evident by the stats. Hopkins has been here for 5 total weeks and has played in 177 snaps, but has 27 targets, 3 TDs, 16 first downs, and 235 receiving yards. Watson has over 3 times as many offensive snaps as Hopkins and Hopkins has him beat in every single category.

Hell id say Worthy has more trust than Watson and he's a rookie. Worthy has exactly as much playing time as Watson and has over double the amount of targets, more yards, more TDs, and more 1st downs.

Patrick Mahomes knows what Watson is. Watson is a good 4th/5th option, but he should never be playing more than everyone else. He's kinda like Dan Sorenson with less big plays and everyone really started hating Dan Sorenson when he was starting over a guy that was clearly a lot better. I'm not sure the hard on people have for Justin Watson. He is such an under achiever that people are posting a video of a block he made, because it's his biggest highlight of the entire season.

You typed a lot.of words to say very little...all you have to do is look at Mahomes connections with Watson over the last couple of seasons.

You seem to have a real issue with Watson...one that keeps you from seeing the forest for the trees.

Oh no watch out! He made a block so he deserves to get more snaps than all the other WR.

I keep saying he's an asset if he's getting 20-30% of the snaps on offense. He sucks when he's getting WR #1 snaps.

You should only post 20-30% of the time the inclination to post hits you.

It wouldn't make you an asset, but it would make you less of a liability.

The dislike for this player is a jigsaw puzzle of ignorance

Last year Watson mossed someone in the middle of the field on third and long in Minnesota. The play led to a touchdown.

Hardman can't do that, Watson can't run jet sweeps.

He's a good complementary player. Some of you jackals treat him like Skyy Moore.

This isn't that hard.

JWat's career reception%: 55.7%
JWat's reception% 2024: 81.8%
JWat's rec TDs/KC: 5, approx. 2/season
JWat's best rec/yds season: 460 yds

M. Hardman's career reception%: 69.0%
Hardman's reception% 2024: 85.7%
HArdman's rec TDs/KC: 16, approx. 4/season
HArdman's best rec/yds season: 695 yds

Yeah, they do different things. Fine. Regardless, Hardman is the more productive WR, period.

And I'm not suggesting that Hardman gets 60+% of snaps either. But 7% is ridiculously low for a WR that far outperforms JWat. He should be seeing at least 20-25%, wouldn't everyone think? You know so KC would maybe score more? Gain more yds/1st downs? You know, produce offensive stats?

Yes? No? Maybe?

Considering the source is some foul-mouthed little dweeb who acts like a 12 year old, is it really that surprising?

He had a ****ing 25-yard catch on our last drive in the 4th quarter to force OT in the Super Bowl.

Hammock Parties 11-26-2024 09:02 PM

The people who say Watson doesn't deserve his snaps are basically calling Andy and Patrick idiots.

Those people are the real idiots.

What is the point of this post, exactly?

Did Veach go into the season with Watson penciled in as the #1?

No.

Rice and Brown should have been your top two WR's, and everyone was universally happy about this.

Watson should have been WR4, and he's fine as a guy that knows the offense, has the trust of Mahomes, and is in the right place at the right time and catches the ball.

I really don't get complaining about Watson.

Hopkins and Juju are late season additions, and helpful. Worthy's a rookie, and there's been growing pains, but also highlight reel stuff.

WR isn't the problem right now.
