This is teh ghey. They tried to implement this a few years ago at Ben Hill Griffin in the student section. The student section stand the entire game, only sitting down during a brief commercial break or during halftime. Cops kept coming through telling people to sit-down. They might have been more successful if the logically started in the 1st row and moving upwards - but starting at the top and telling people to sit down while the rows directly in front of them were still standing was doomed to failure.

Letters were written to the AA complaining about this and inquiring to the purpose of this new policy. Suffice it to say they abandoned this ridiculous notion of making the student section sit during games. Instead, they now focus on making sure the student section does not stand on the bleachers during the games.

Asking them to sit down is fine but tazering them is more effective.

It appears that Little Debbie's sister is now contemplating chopping off mom's hands and feeding them to the goldfish.

I wonder if she ever found her shirt? :hmmm:

This was when you could still smoke inside the bowl. She's lucky she was sitting behind me, might have had to accidently spill my beer on her.

I actually had a "Chiefs" fan tell me the same thing out here at pilehigh - said I was being too loud and giving him a headache. Bunch of the donkey fans started harassing him and throwing earplugs at him. LMAO I kept screaming for the Chiefs even though it was obvious they were throwing another one away.

Carl: "IF YOU KICK ME OUT I'LL TAKE THE BALL WITH ME."

Sully 06-30-2008 02:23 PM

You guys have all missed the boat on this one.

Carl is still concerned about the Offensive Line, and his worry is that all those people standing will make the QBs feel bad, wishing they could stand during the game, as well.

No gum wrappers on the floor.

Why in ****s sake did you feel compelled to bump a 4 year old thread concerning a policy change?

I've seen more fights in Arrowhead than all other stadiums, in all pro sports, combined.

And that's a lot of stadiums.

True story... during the 2001 season, the 2nd home game after the 9/11 attacks a man falls from the upper deck into the back rows of my section (my season tix are on the front row so I did not see it.) I was concentrating on the game but began noticing people from 6 to 8 sections on either side of me standing a looking at my section. The Chiefs even forced the Steelers ST into a safety but the crowd hardly recognized what had happened on the field.

At that point I realized ithis was not your regular "fight in the stands" but, being so close after 9/11 my first thought was it was a terrorist act.

What you failed to mention is that guy came out of the upper level...landed in the club level and bounced on a seat and that sent him into the lower level. He walked away with some bumps...however the guy he landed on had several injuries.

Since someone necro'd this thread, how's that "no standing" policy working out?
