He keeps a list.

When I was a kid, I met then-backup QB Mike Livingston at a car dealership promo. I stood there speechless and agog, amazed that my dad would actually make small talk with a Kansas City Chief.

In part, my speechlessness was hero-awe, and in part it was mere confusion. When he took me, my dad didn't tell me what we were doing. He just said he had a surprise for me. So we get in the car and we're driving and we pull into this car dealership, and all of a sudden I'm thinking, "GO KART! GO KART! I'M GETTING A GO KART!" And then we get out of the car and go in and there's a guy standing there and he's not even in a Chiefs uniform and he's not 11 feet tall, and my dad says, "This is Mike Livingston", and my mind reeled with a thousand conflicting thoughts. I simultaneously had to deal with the fact that I wasn't getting a go kart, that I was meeting my first Chief, that a Chief did not always wear his uniform, and that a Chief on the street did not look like a superhero. It was a lot to deal with.

I was serious. You are incredibly, unbelievably, totally funny. Hahahaha. I can't stop laughing phobia.

Mr. Warm, I would like to offer a sincere apology on behalf of the entire CP community. CP is what we do, not who we are...just sayin. You guys want to add anything?

Evil Knievel-reminded when I saw another poster. Met with my Dad in New York at event when I was young

Ha! I was just pitching a movie to his production company based on one of his novels. Won't say which one, because it basically came out that he hates the novel. I was like, "Okay, so I'm pitching a movie that you don't like, that I wasn't happy writing, based on a novel that I don't own, and that the author hates. How about we move from coffee to wine and think of something else?"

So we did :)

I'm going to say my favorite memory is when I did a sketch comedy show. One of my cast mates, and a good friend of mine, is really tight with James Gandolfini, so he came to the show. Gandolfini came out with us afterwards, and I just kind of let them be alone, so I drank with some other people. The waitress came by dropping off drinks:

"Manhattan on the rocks?"
"oh, I didn't order this, but I'll take another please."
"Mr. Gandolfini sent this over."
"Uh...that's the coolest ****ing thing anyone has ever said to me. Thanks."

Toast to Gandolfini.

Waitress comes back.

"Can I get another Manhattan on my tab?"
"Mr. Gandolfini wants to buy it."
"Sure. that's... sure. No problem."

End of night.

"Can I get my tab?"
"Mr. Gandolfini would like to take care of the bill."

Girl next to me:

"Can I get my tab, too?"
"I'm sorry, Mr. Gandolfini would like to take care of the entire table's bill."

Eight people. Dinner. Five hours of drinking.

Gandolfini, y'all. Gandolfini.

I've actually met a ton of people, because I worked at a studio for a long time, and my wife is an actress. Jon Hamm got drunk at my house. That was fun.

The whole celeb thing just doesn't mean shit to me.

Hell, I forgot that I played Longview Lake course (now Fred Arbanas GC) with Fred Arbanas once.

I was playing a round as a walk on and the starter asked me if I'd mind playing with Fred Arbanas. Hell no, I wouldn't mind!

Real nice guy and also a liar. I was playing like shit and he kept telling me "nice shot, Bob". The hell it was, now help me find my ball.

My grandparents lived with Johnny Cash and June. Basically, they built a huge house in Branson, and when Johnny opened his theater there, they lived with my Grandparents.

Even as a kid, I knew that was badass. What I wouldn't give to go back and have my adult mind when I talked to him.
