Should the Chiefs try to do this trade?

Back up QBs (with Washington). Collins for Ramsey. Saunders likes Collins, right?

Won't happen. Washington isn't stupid.

According to SNR Collins is untradeable. A man amongst boys.

Yeah but Ramsey doesn't seem to have a future there and maybe too far gone to ever recover. Collins is a vet backup with no wear and tear. And like I said, he seems to be liked by AS.

Collins is also about 50yrs old versus Ramsey at 20 whatever.

Ramsey is pretty much done at DC but they would trade him for Collins.

Why would we want to give up Collins? He hasn't dropped a clipboard in the last three seasons. His rare combination of experience with the headset, meaningful nods during timeouts, and refusal to tamper with the brakes on the starting QB's car is hard to find in today's NFL.

Of course he is.

Enough of this insanity...

Absolutely not! Chiefs need to trade a draft pick for a guy that was going to get cut by his old team so we can cut him later.

tk13 01-22-2006 08:53 PM

Don't forget they also drafted Jason Campbell in the first round last year. They aren't looking to take on QB's.

ROFL

Collins is a free agent. If Saunders wants him, all he has to do is call him up.

jspchief 01-22-2006 08:59 PM

Collins is an unrestricted free agent. Hard to trade something you don't have.

JC is their QBOTF. Their starter may not last that long. I think Collins would be a logical addition to their QBs. Especially if Saunders wants to play our style of O there. I'd even do this:

Collins + 7th for Ramsey.
Keep in mind Ramsey may never amount to anything. But if Shea can detox him from the bad habits we might hit on something long term.

The Redskins have Brunell, Ramsey, and Jason Campbell.

STFU plz.

He is, isn't he. Well Carl sign him now!
