Kerry Rhodes

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4480639

says the jets want to "embarass" the pats.

Ummmm.....the last 2 times brady saw you you were outscored 58-24, and you want to embarass them?

not a good idea....

JuicesFlowing 09-18-2009 04:38 PM

I want the Pats to crush the Jets. Maybe it's because I have more respect fr the Pats with the Pioli connection? I dunno. Calm down there Sanchez ... James Taylor for pre-game, seriously?

SAUTO 09-18-2009 04:38 PM

that whole team is talking shit like they won the last 10 super bowls, may not be a very good idea

Buehler445 09-18-2009 04:42 PM

Ehhh. Its been out a couple days. Typical Herm pick...less than intelligent.

The game? I don't give a ****. Mangini beat the Pats in their house his first year, earning him the Mangenious moniker, if they do get one on the pats it will probably not make a difference. Most likely the Pats will beat them next time and take the division. If the Jets are legit...whatever. It's not like we'll be facing them in the playoffs.

it's not just him, jenkins talked big shit too IIRC. and ryan also

Mecca 09-18-2009 04:50 PM

It's an extension from Rex Ryan, I don't see a problem with it honestly.

DBOSHO 09-18-2009 04:53 PM

i could MAYBE see it if they were talking to the bills someone but the PATS? are you reeruned? they are good enough without having a reason to embarass YOU.

i see alot of randy moss fade patterns rhodes way.

RJ 09-18-2009 04:53 PM

Why is this game being hyped so much? IIRC, neither of these teams even made the playoffs last season. Yet the radio guys have been talking about it like it's a huge matchup.

They're doing it because it is the Pats, I think Ryan will be a pretty good head coach over the long haul.

I think it's the opposite, part of the Patriot mystique in that division is they are in the other teams heads. He's looking to break that, he's got them confident.

Really? They are?

Without Harrison? Bruschi? Seymour? Vrabel? Pioli? McDaniels?

You think they're the same team without those guys? Did you watch Monday night's game in its entirety?

DaneMcCloud 09-18-2009 04:56 PM

BTW, Babbling Kent just changed Zach Miller's status.

Dumbass.

DBOSHO 09-18-2009 04:58 PM

i think he will to but his team isnt really in a position to talk.

rookie hc
rookie qb

thatd be like jim schwarts sayin "WE ARE GONNA **** THE VIKINGS UP"

The Jets have a chance in that game because the Patriots D is balls and can be run on.

Really? The Pat's "O" didn't look too spiffy Monday night at home against Buffalo.

And, your are seriously underrating the Jets offense. They went into Houston and kicked their asses.

Mecca 09-18-2009 05:03 PM

I'm wondering how having a big mouth and taking cheap shots at guys are the same thing.

They have Patriots across their unis that's all that people see.

They don't see that the Patriots defense is pretty much complete ass right now.

They punted the ball once, they just couldn't score in the redzone. It was Brady's first game back and the offense's timing was clearly off in the first half.

The Pats defense was ass last year, once they get Mayo back it probably won't be any worse.

Mecca 09-18-2009 05:06 PM

Their offense is fine aside from their OL being blah, but their defense is full if huge holes especially with Mayo not playing.

Brady had 39 competions for almost 400 yds. they started slow, but thats pretty good.

and the jets run the ball well but i wouldnt want sanchez throwing with 2 min left. granted im judging this off of him being a rookie but still

JuicesFlowing 09-18-2009 05:12 PM

Perhaps this has been covered before, but Rex Ryan as a first year head coach sending out a voice mail to all his season ticket holders ... a bit lame. Calm down there son. He says the Pats have the better QB and coach, pretentiously so that he doesn't get blamed for cock-swagger ...

Yeah, that's real smart. "Judge it off of being a rookie", not from his performances this season.

The Patriots defense isn't what it used to be so in all likelihood, this will be a close game.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-18-2009 05:43 PM

The Jets defense has an attitude that ours would be well served to pick up. You need a bunch of "crazed dogs" for those units to work best.

DrRyan 09-18-2009 05:49 PM

Rex Ryan and his shooting off at the mouth, trash talking is all good and well when they are winning. I will be interested to see how he handles it when things are not going so well. Not the Ryan's best suit by far. Buddy, Rob, at some point Rex...

You can call Harrison dirty if you want. I guess with all the fines maybe he earned the reputation.

But bottomline....he's the guy everyone hates when he plays for the other team and he's exactly the guy you want on your team.

When the Pats picked him up, Milloy was still on the team. I hated Harrison in preseason that year. I saw him doing a lot of trash talking to opponents on the field and of course that reputation followed him to NE. And I was pissed when Milloy was released. I felt like the leader of the D was let go but Harrison presence soon made all NE fans forget about Milloy.

It didn't take long to figure out he was a defensive leader on the field and a great guy in the locker room and off the field.

Harrison was a key figure when the Pats won 2 of their 3 SB's. And the Pats including Harrison did all their talking on the field during that time, not in the media.

The Jets better back up the smack talk tomorrow or it may end up being a long season for them. Belichick is not going to say it but I'm sure he's chomping at the bit to give Ryan a big ole STFU beat down.

And you know the NY media will be all over these guys Monday if the Pats lay a licking on them. I honestly don't know what is going to happen but it should be interesting to say the least.

big deal. its called a prediction based on history. the jets havent won at foxboro for quite some time. they had a rookie qb. they won. big deal

The Jets don't even have outstanding defensive personnel, he's getting the most out of them.

They have some nice pieces...they get some of their glaring holes filled and they will become really tough.

Titty Meat 09-20-2009 10:00 PM

Its funny I don't think theres a connection between Mcdaniels and Nolan yet Denvers defense is ok and doesn't have the personal for a 3-4. Our coach hires his friend who sucks as much as Gunther Cunningham.

Mecca 09-20-2009 10:02 PM

Denver's defense is weird...the Browns offense is bad but holding the Bengals to what they did was an accomplishment.

Titty Meat 09-20-2009 10:03 PM
