GET LOUDER

pr_capone 09-11-2011 07:35 PM

Fans in the upper level suck the cock. Only myself and a handful of other people would stand up or make any noise.

Arrowhead has lost her burst.

baitism 09-11-2011 07:35 PM

Arrowhead is going to be barren by the end of this season, unfortunately.

The Arrowhead advantage doesn't mean a damn thing anymore. It pains me.

Mr_Tomahawk 09-11-2011 07:36 PM

I was at both the game today, and the Monday night game last year.

I mentioned to my brother-in-law at the game today that the atmosphere last year Monday night was MUCH more intense.

Granted it was a Monday night game...

While it does piss me off to see people sitting on their hands, it's hard to get fired up when it's obvious from the get-go that your team didn't show up to play.

Dr. Johnny Fever 09-11-2011 07:41 PM

The fans, like the team, where completely unprepared for football.

A friend of mine was at the game and left at halftime because their friend wanted to go. I figured they'd tailgate at least in the second half but they texted me they were home with 5 minutes to play in the game... and they live about as far from Arrowhead as you can and still be in the KC metro area. Now that's leaving a game early.

KingPriest2 09-11-2011 07:41 PM

I wouldnt blame it on the crowd They just didnt show up to play I do agree the crowd sucked today It was a different crowd Not standing on D bu t standing on O? Yeah rhey would stand on 3rd down but not all the other downs I remember standing all the time on D but not now

This is pretty much what I noticed about the crowd, we were actually pretty good up until the end of the first half. In the lower level endzone, 3 guys got ejected in the first 10 minutes of the game, one all bloody. Another Bills fan almost "had" to fight some guys who kept throwing peanuts at him. I'd say people were pretty fired up initially.

007 09-11-2011 08:11 PM

Just face it. We are never getting Arrowhead from the 90's back. It is just another stadium now.

I blame the crowd. It was weaksauce, IMO. I screamed until right before I left, when they scored point number 34.

I could feel one moment when it was as loud as it should be. Just one time. Right before they scored a TD after a penalty and a hali sack. Then the crowd stopped again and they got the TD. Wtf guys?

Companies eat them up for large prices and pass them out to clients who don't go.

cdcox 09-11-2011 11:27 PM

That's one thing Clark could do to help this team. He should use his millions to fill all of the empty seats with robots. They could be really loud and would never get tired of cheering. He could even program them to buy concessions. Then we would have more money for free agents.

oRYMANo 09-14-2011 06:26 AM

Watching the Donkey-Faider game on MNF, I noticed that their crowd was loud even when the Donks were on offense...either there was a ton of Faider fans there (which is possible) or they have the dumbest fan base ever. Going for option 2 here.

Fish 09-14-2011 08:12 AM

The excitement of the crowd is directly proportional to the excitement on the field. How the hell is that difficult to understand? If you want me yelling and screaming from my seat, just give me something positive to yell and scream about on the field. And honestly, it doesn't take much. It doesn't even have to be winning. Just make it exciting and competitive. Give me a hard fought battle. That's it.....

But don't expect me to yell myself hoarse when the team as a whole isn't giving full effort and our OC is napping in the coaches box and dreaming of fudge pudding.

Exactly right. I was very much into it and yelling during most of the first half. After awhile, though, it was obvious that this team was gonna lose and there was nothing my yelling could do to help that.

Granted, I'm appreciative of the fans in the lower level near us being excited and not your typical "sit down please" type of people, but when you start yelling,

"What? Did you all drink too much at the tailgate and you can't stand up now?"

"You guys must think you're at home sitting on your comfy couches watching this game on tv."

You just want to turn around and ask them just what it is that we're supposed to be excited about and yelling for whenever your team is playing like shit. The same guys were gone halfway through the third quarter. Hmmm.

dallaschiefsfan 09-14-2011 09:27 AM

I know this thread is meant to be sarcastic. However, while the crowd is NOT to blame...it IS definitely a problem that needs addressed from the business end of the Chiefs.

Over the TV I heard plenty of yelling and screaming……at the offense. Which I find to be an ironic term in this instance because what they put on the field was definitely offensive.

Costs too much to go to a football game now....plain n simple. Look at the gold section...those were filled 10yrs ago....now that section is a ghost town....I remember I could pay 65 dollars for a lower level ticket.....now it costs that to get a respectable upper level ticket....not to mention 30 dollar parking and 8dollar beers and food etc...plus HDTV in the comfort of your own home...a small market like kc will get effected by that.

Halfcan 09-14-2011 10:43 AM

Hard for the crowd to be loud with the team coming out with a "i dont give a shit" attitude.

It was the Worst game I have Ever been to-on Any level. The Cheaps are an embarrassment to this city.

|Zach| 09-14-2011 10:53 AM

I thought the crowd did fine. You can only do so much. They were into it much longer than most fan bases would be.

|Zach| 09-14-2011 10:58 AM

I don't think there is anything typical about "please sit down" folks in KC. In my experience they have been the exception. I have sat pretty much all over the stadium and have seen mostly loud ass devoted fans. Even when I have sat in club level those people were really loud banging on scoreboards and shit.

It is all about the team.

Towards the end of the 4th qtr I did kind of get into it with some random lady though. These guys behind us were booing a lot...a lot of people were booing but these guys were not stopping at all they were *really* giving Haley and Matt the business. It was annoying but it didn't bother me or anything.

Lady a row behind me starts yelling at them that if they didn't like it they could just leave...was yelling at them to leave. I dunno something snapped and that just sorta pissed me off. I was just like "they paid good money for tickets just like everyone else they can do whatever the hell they want" she never responded to me though.

Hot day...horrible football. Nobody was happy. lol.

I agree completely with this post. The parking fee at $27 is less than other NFL Stadiums but that plus $60 per seat plus pre-season for 4 season tickets is too much for that kind of performance. That and the players and owners fighting over the money we spend without giving a rats rear end about us during the lockout is nuts.

Any perception that the player's association is anything but a money grabbing entity should have been destroyed when Stevie Johnson cheap-shotted EB29 too.
