Does a Seattle/Pittsburgh Super Bowl excite anyone?

The media is going to have a hell of a time getting 2 weeks' worth of hype out of this match-up.

There is going to be a Superbowl this year?

beer bacon 01-22-2006 08:39 PM

I don't really give a shit about the Hawks. I was hoping for a Pittsburgh/Carolina SB.

NO

I think its gonna be a great game. I am evry excited.

I think it has the potential to be a good game. Definitely two good teams playing well. Not a lot of big household names though, I guess. I'm not sure who's fault that is, Seattle has dominated the NFC this year, it's not like they came out of nowhere.

I like these Super Bowls where you have a team like the Seahawks that has never been there and the Steelers who haven't won one in a long long time. It's gonna be different, for sure. I'm not sure there are really any big "loud" guys to hype things up like Freddie Mitchell or TO or Warren Sapp or somebody though...

greg63 01-22-2006 08:43 PM

Nope; not really. Although, I guess I'll remain aboard the Steelers bandwagon.

Dunit35 01-22-2006 08:43 PM

NO.. But its nice to see the Bus in it.

Some of you folks slay me...

All we hear about how stupid it is that the media is bias for xertain teams or the coasts and how its ridiculous that so and so are media darlings and the Chiefs get ignored.

Then....when teams that dont fit that mold dont make the Superbowl you dont care because they dont get the same hype.

Amazing.

Well, at least it's not going to be the Pats, who is usually in the SB for the most part in the 2000's. And on the NFC, it would be someone new, a team that never has been into a Super Bowl.

I think it could be a good game.

Alexander/Hasselback/Stevens and Seattles O vs. Pittsburgh's Defense.

And Seattle's D aganist a Pittsburgh's O that has caught on fire lately in the playoffs.

Rausch 01-22-2006 08:45 PM

I love it.

The Steelers should walk away with an easy one...

Frankie 01-22-2006 08:45 PM

I'll be rooting for Pittsburgh. They have one of my favorite Ex-Chiefs coaches (Cowher) and my now number one non-Chief player (Polamalu). They both deserve a SuperBowl ring.

Boy, how I wish Polamalu played for the Chiefs.

tk13 01-22-2006 08:46 PM

Oh yeah, the Bus. There's a week's worth of stuff right there. The farewell to the Bus. Roethlisberger will probably start to achieve Brady-like status, especially if he wins. And two coaches who are returning the Super Bowl for the first time in nearly a decade.

Spott 01-22-2006 08:46 PM

It sure as hell excites me more than seeing the Donkeys in the big game. I would have really hated to see a Seattle/Denver Super Bowl.

teedubya 01-22-2006 08:46 PM

im definitely excited that the Donkos arent in Superbowl XL.... so, yeah.
