LJ is no longer a threat to take it to the house

no speed. He can still bang out some yards with good blocking but any he can't get into the secondary because he's too slow.

He had alot of carries and decent blocking today and he didn't even get 100

Better then what he has been

Hammock Parties 09-20-2009 02:43 PM

The blocking sucked. The only reason Larry had a shitty 3.2 average was because he actually made some yards after first contact.

He gets a hole like he had against the Rams in preseason, he's through it and up the field for 20+ every time.

Welcome to last year. Maybe next week you can start a thread about how the Chiefs lack a pass rush.

No, he should start a thread about the O-line! Jesus Christ ... LJ had a pretty good game. Just because he didn't score 4 TDs is a reason for a thread .... Congrats.

We should have traded LJ when we had the chance and at least got something for him.

RedThat 09-20-2009 02:48 PM

Well, afterall, he is 30, banged up and coming off an injury. Loss of speed is expected given his situation.

When did we have the chance?

Never.

I think they're transitioning LJ into a roleplayer. He's not the #1 back and we shouldn't expect him to play like one. He's the bruiser who will be expected to pick up 4 or 5 yards when needed. Savage and Charles will be the guys who get the big playcalls.

They don't throw him tosses because he's not fast enough make it around the corner anymore. The hole they did open he use to hit running hard and fast. All of that is gone.

They threw him a toss today and ran several off tackle plays.
