On the subject of offensive philosophy:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I’m bullish on Marquez Valdes-Scantling after something I noticed in Week 1: the change in his route types now in KC.<br><br>I’ve been looking at routes recently. This is my favorite chart from the offseason: yards per route run by route type vs. coverage type. <br><br>There’s a big range! <a href="https://t.co/ch40Az3AC1">pic.twitter.com/ch40Az3AC1</a></p>— Seth Walder (@SethWalder) <a href="https://twitter.com/SethWalder/status/1570472098388398080?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 15, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
I'm not even going to lie, I was utterly shocked at how in sync the offense was right off the bat. It's quite clear that every single one of these guys fully committed in the off season and put in way more work together than the average group in the league. They all looked like they have been playing together for 5 years.
If Mecole Hardman could ever learn to track a deep ball in the air instead of slowing down and flailing his arms all over the place, we would have dropped 50 on the Cards easily and Mahomes would have had over 400 yards and 6 TD. I don't know about anyone else, but it just feels like things are back to being right again in KC. I'm sure some people know what I mean, last year things just felt off. I don't know if it was EB or Hill or some kind of drama we won't ever know about, but things always just felt a bit strange. Now it seems everyone is on the same page and more focused than ever before. It's just fantastic. |

However, we all know how the zebras always love to help keep the Chargers in the game against us and the Amazon debut could work against us as they won't want to lose viewers in a blowout. I could see us jumping out 14-0 and then the flags start flying. As long as we come out with a W, it will make a statement. That crowd is going to be absolutely rocking. I cannot wait. |

There is no way in hell the first game on prime would be allowed to be a blowout. Still this is a pretty good matchup and will be a tough sled this week
