I've been doing a lot of all-time stats research since we got Mahomes (can you blame me?) and I find it weird that the NFL doesn't just lump regular season and playoff games together.
Go to pro football reference and the big columns are all about their regular season stats. You have to look elsewhere to find their stuff about the playoffs, and sometimes they don't even add them together, much less give you the entire list with playoff games factored in.
That's kind of bullshit. Wouldn't you say? They don't cut the regular seasons' stats off at 14 games just to be fair to the players who played before 16 games. Why the hell would it matter?
You tally the total number of games if people want to know TDs/yards per game or whatever. Simple.
