I think your GREATLY underestimating Humans. Yes I agree human males for the most part have become soft BUT if you throw 100 random men into a area and tell them they must all fight a single gorilla to the death, I think you will see human instinct kick in. Actually seeing another humans arm get ripped off might actually be a positive thing for the rest of the humans to understand how serious the situation is and go full out primal!
