I didn’t love the whole Kat Mcnamara introduction and hated the new police chief who is okay with the deaths of a couple colleagues in order to catch the Harrigans. Love the show but think they need to tighten it up a bit as it was earlier.

I don't think it is just to catch the Harrigans. I think old boy is completely corrupt and working for Richie. I also think Harry letting Alice leave is all part of a plan to get rid of Maeve, the rat. Remember what Jaime said about the deal being on once the rat is gone. They've had Conrad question Harry's loyalty too much to make me think he'd betray Conrad.
