Taking a year off because of his wife's cancer is the official line, IIRC.
But with his buddy Tony gone, I seriously doubt he'll be back.
The guy is a ****ing genius - like Frankenstein putting good pitchers together out of the spare parts of bad ones. And I'll never forget in Game 7, where Carpenter was getting lit up early - Duncan went out to the mound, said something to him, and he was lights out for the rest of the game. Don't know what he said, but it clearly worked.
