This. The problem is... nobody is gung ho about Orton, but we want him for what he represents. Anyone, like myself, pissed about not getting Orton is pissed because we know what this means for Cassel. The Chiefs surrounded Cassel with a pretty insanely good supporting cast. We're going to see a repeat from 2010. We're going to start winning games. We're going to see our all-world RBs dominate defenses and our QB shit his pants. We're going to see our QB get butt-slapped and congratulated for throwing for 3,000 yards and throwing few INTs because he so impressively beat defenses that were crowding 8-9 guys in the box. Nevermind that any decent QB would look more impressive in Cassel's same exact same situation. And then in the playoffs, we're going to get housed by a good defense.

And then in 2013, the Chiefs will once again convince us that we have our QB. It never felt that way with Orton. Orton always felt like a stopgap. That's what scares the shit out of every one of us.
