I thought these games counted now. The attitude of a lot of the CHiefs players after the game seemed to be confident, which is good, but it alomst sounded like they were talking about a preseason game. For example, Tony Gonzalez when asked about all of the drops by the receivers,"But remember, it is our first game and once we started getting going, I think our team started flowing and we started playing well." Gunther seemed pleased with the performance as well, atleast that is what I got out of reading the comments at kcchiefs.com. This is pretty aggravating when a team is happy with losing to anyone at home on opening day and them treating it like preaseason. I'm usually pretty optimistic about the chiefs but this is a bit ridiculous.
