View Full Version : We waisted a TO with 2:42 still on the clock...

I am about as much a Chiefs homer as anyone.

I will defend the players, coaches, and even the GM against any criticism that I believe is lodged out of frustration rather than objective observation.

The incompetance being displayed, however, is not excusable even by my standards.

One of many examples would be late in the fourth quarter when Mazlaski (whom I really like) called a TO. Hasty objected, and the Ref's live mike caught Maz pointing to the bench and simply responding to their directions.

The result was that we waisted a critical TO. They ran one further play before the Two Minute Warning ~ exactly the same as if we hadn't called the TO.

Hasty was right and the Chief's bench was wrong ~ again.

Luz,
Our entire team seems mentally unprepared. It's been two years and we still can't stop those short swing passes, quick slants, or screens. A hurry up, no huddle, razzle dazzle offense confuses our players.

If that doesn't go directly to the head coach, I don't know what does. Gunther, for all his organization and so called toughness, has made us the most unorganized, soft team in the NFL...

I still think some of the responsibilty lies witht the players. Most of them have been playing since grade school. They know how the game is played. We know how the game is played. Like Maz plays, magnet to the ball...

Which timeout is the one we didn't get charged for? Didn't the ref comeeback and say that?

We were charged for this TO.

The one before this was called and then retracted.
