I haven't tried yet, but I'm just in one of those thought modes where I know I won't be able to sleep. Short of drugs (legal or illegal), what do you o to get to sleep?

Well, for starters, get off the computer. The computer is like television and will only keep you up. :D

There is one tip I use when I'm not using drugs (legal/illegal) and that is to keep a book by your bed. Not just any book, but a boring one or something you're not really interested in reading at all. When you get to page three, your eyes will get heavy and you will fall asleep faster than a hibernating bear.

I don't have any, though, so that's not gonna help me tonight. :(

Turn on a soccer game.

I can speak form personal experience and testify that this does not work. However, I did switch to a baseball game and that did the trick.

It's a natural substance that can be found in foods. Dairy products are known to have levels of melatonin or tryptophan or whatever its called. Pasta, ice cream, cheese, milk are all supposed to be sleep-inducers. As well as beans and rice. They're all supposed to have high levels of tryptophan in them.

I was going to suggest flicking the bean, but I should've known that 14 minutes into the thread would've been about 13 minutes too late.

Carry on.

Ah, duh. I knew that, too. I do have some skim milk. Otherwise, I'm dieting, none of those things in my kitchen.

luv, you can proofread one of my papers for me!

A lot of good things could come from that.

1.) You help me on my paper with grammar, typos, whatever
2.) You learn about Jesuits and the witch-hunt
3.) You could get so bored you fall asleep

Sound good? I can send it to you in a PM maybe.

I have been in Canada for 6 days and haven't slept a night yet. I'm loosing my fucking mind. Insomnia was so much more fun back in the drug years.
I bought some melatonin. Meh. I need a 1/4 of a xany bar. I would be snoozing hard.
