Miami receiver Phillip Dorsett (36 catches, 871 yards, 10 TDs in 2014) has absurd speed in open spaces. Upon fielding an end-around hand-off near the 15-yard line, Dorsett quickly garnered separation from all defenders and cruised into the end zone, untouched.
Dorsett most likely has moved up and out of the third round and is probably a high second at this point, particularly if he runs a sub-4.3 at the Combine. After a pretty strong Senior Bowl week, it seems he was vastly under-utlilized at Miami.

Isn't Dorsett short, like 5'8 short?

kccrow 01-24-2015 06:49 PM

Senior Bowl weigh-in he was 5'9-5/8" and 183 pounds... which isn't terrible for a guy with his speed that you can use in the slot.

Senior Bowl notes on Collins:

Quote:

I don't understand what keeps many from believing in La'El at LT. He has good movement skills...
Quote:

I think LSU OL La’El Collins can play OT or OG. Top 15 pick for me, and wouldn’t sniff if he goes higher. Powerful, moves to 2nd level.
Quote:

Top offensive linemen Laken Tomlinson of Duke and La'el Collins of LSU were solid, as expected. They helped their stocks by having games in which their names weren't routinely called. On the other hand, T.J. Clemmings of Pitt, an offensive tackle, was up and down all game and got turned around on multiple plays.

A+ changes made.

Collins is probably my absolute favorite option for KC, unless the top trio of WRs or Scherff falls to 18.

Prewitt makes a lot of sense for KC.

I agree that Dorsett has now risen in the rankings. I would love to see him in KC though. Wouldn't at all be upset if KC selected him at 49. The mismatches with JC, Kelce, Wilson, and DAT on the field with Dorsett would be insane!

I don't know much about Dres Anderson yet.

I do like Heuerman and getting John Miller would be fantastic.. though I doubt he is available beyond rd 4. Jeff Luc is another interesting prospect that I would expect off the board a little sooner.

Good stuff! :thumb:

Actually, I haven't changed anything. Or at least in about a month. It's getting a major revision today though based on Senior Bowl/East West Shrine performances.

Still a pretty good one. I suspect Eric Rowe goes a couple rounds earlier.. but I like Flowers as a rd 1 option for KC. He and John Miller should definitely upgrade the weakest spots along the OL.

McBride and Diggs should be helpful in the pass game.. and still like Heuerman. Never saw Dres Anderson ranked high as you have him.. but he did look good in that video. Drafting THREE wideouts is.. amusing. Guess both Bowe and Avery were sent packing.

Still not much priority put on adding a young ILB.. but have to hope DJ can recover well while the kids learn.

D------- Would not purchase this draft again.

I think Plummer and Vigil are every bit as good as the top guys being mentioned in this draft. It's a deep ILB/MLB draft with pretty solid guys all the way through, though I don't see a real standout, first round type of guy.

Anderson was looking like a high third/early second going into the 2014 season. He's fast and smooth, can high point the ball well and runs good routes.

Sorry boys, we're not pissing away a draft pick on a QB this year.

Pryor is as good as anybody in this draft and with he, Daniel, Bray and Murray, they can fight it out for #2 and #3.

Four backups at the QB position is enough. Time to stock up on athletes who will contribute, not clipboard holders.

Bowser 01-25-2015 05:43 PM

Two Utes and a Utah State. I'd say that leaves you one under par for the day.

And I don't think Diggs lasts until the 5th, attitude problems aside.
