This is an incredibally stupid thread.
Why don't you just say, "I'm afraid the Chiefs will shit their pants in any way possible"? |

I've been gone for awhile. This looks like a Chiefsfan1963 neg post. Did he change his name? Some of these are actually concerns going in, others I would describe as phobias.
The Chiefs definitely have some concerns, the top of which I would list as Damon Huard being #2 on the depth chart. From what I have seen from him in the past, he has absolutely the ugliest ball since Billy Kilmer. I would have concerns if he was #2 on a high school depth chart. How does this guy stay in the league? Trying to make Solari out to be Jimmy Raye Jr. is just scary. Get in touch with reality. Jimmy Raye had the #1 run offense in the league on a team that couldn't pass to save its life. He followed it up by a pass happy offense that couldn't run out of a wet paper bag. I remember that game against Tampa Bay where the defense forced 7 turnovers and we still lost. That was the Jimmy Raye era in a nutshell. Solari is probably going to return the team to more of a running game, but I don't see it going as inbalanced as some think. This team still has Gonzales and one of the best lines in football. |
You Did mentioned play calling but I must say that what I'm Most afraid of seeing is...
1. Run 2. Run 3. Pass 4. Punt Repeat... I'm of course hoping LJ is not going to turn out to be a true one yr wonder. That he still rumbles for 10-15 yrds every couple of angry runs. Instead of The Marty Era & 3 yrd runs were the norm. How many teams have had one yr wonders? Been awhile for us. Are we due? So I'm a weee bit nervous on that. Personally I think the LJ we all saw is coming back!! Oh & on top of all that if we do go back to running series that look like flashbacks to the Marty Era & we only score at most 17 points a game...well..I'm hoping our teams defense doesnt give up 48 points a game!!!! Hmmm you know what I'm saying! Wow I feel cleansed now that I rattled all my silly little fears out right here on the planet!! Dr Phil charged me 10k our last session. Next time I'll try to not do it with this many beers in me! =P |
Wow. Practically the only concern I had that hasn't yet shown its potential is an injury to Trent.
What's especially disheartening is the defensive scheme. They spend 2 years learning Guns blitz happy scheme, finally get pretty decent at it, get another cornerback to run it, then switch back to this greg robinson bullshit. These guys can't stop anything out of a cover 2. |

How about instead of having Gun implement a new scheme every year, because the previous year's was a failure, we let a different DC implement a scheme. Just a thought. |
I'm afraid the Redskins win the Superbowl with Todd Collins as quarterback.

1. Run 2. Run 3. Pass 4. Punt And then next series, starting from our 31 was : 1. Run 2. Pass (1st down) 3. Pass incomplete 4. Pass (1st down) 5. Run (QB scramble) 6. Pass 7a. Penalty, negating 1st down 7b. Penalty 7c. Pass incomplete (should have been completed IMO, pass too short to Parker right at the 1st down line) 8. Punt 3rd series, Trent is done, my attention dwindles... I guess my point is, I'm not at all concerned about Jimmy Raye, he's long friggin gone! I am nervous for our O-Line. Seeing Waters and Shields on the field next week would make me feel much much better. As long as those guys don't have lingering issues with these injuries (foot and ankle, respectively), the offense will be just fine. What I've seen of our defensive schemes so far, when we hold the LBs up close, we stop the run, otherwise it's ugly. Coverage schemes have been read and react, which I in no way expect to be a primary scheme for us when it counts. Not too concerned with the secondary, just the D-Line. |

I'm so worried about what's hapenin' today, in the middle east, you know.
And I'm worried about the baggage retrieval system they've got at Heathrow. I'm so worried about the fashions today, I don't think they're good for your feet. And I'm so worried about the shows on TV that sometimes they want to repeat. I'm so worried about what's happenin' today, you know. And I'm worried about the baggage retrieval system they've got at Heathrow. I'm so worried about my hair falling out and the state of the world today. And I'm so worried about bein' so full of doubt about everything, anyway. I'm so worried about modern technology. I'm so worried about all the things that they dump in the sea. I'm so worried about it, worried about it, worried, worried, worried. I'm so worried about everything that can go wrong. I'm so worried about whether people like this song. I'm so worried about this very next verse, it isn't the best that I've got. And I'm so worried about whether I should go on, or whether I should just stop. (pause) I'm worried about whether I ought to have stopped. And I'm worried about, it's the sort of thing I ought to know. And I'm worried about the baggage retrieval system they've got at Heathrow. (longer pause) I'm so worried about whether I should have stopped then. I'm so worried that I'm driving everyone 'round the bend. I'm worried about the baggage retrieval system they've got at Heathrow. Courtesy Rep to whomever can identify the album. |
He was right on one...8% ain't bad...

You know, I saw us complete passes on seven-step drops early in the game yesterday.
We can do it. We just need more consistent protection. I guess it goes back to that old Vermeil adage: "You see a guy do something good once and you think you can get him to do it again." |
