Which is odd with the way Herm called plays last year, we were going away from athletic blocking and more for straight ahead power blocking....

It's almost here!

A week from today I will for sure know where I'm headed. I can't wait. I was worried a few weeks ago, thinking about it all the time, wondering where I was going. Now, as the time draws closer, I'm just taking it all in and trying to enjoy the experience. I'll never get to do this again.

I know that there is a plan for me. Whatever happens, happens. I'm really just putting it in God's hands. I feel great about it, that it's going to work out for me.
You hear everything. My agent, Jeff Nalley, told me he's heard anywhere from late in the third round to the fifth round.

But who really knows? I mean, no one even knows who the Raiders are going to pick with the first choice. I don't know that the Raiders even know. So who knows where I'm going, or when.

We have heard from the Jets, the Texans and the Packers, and, as you know, I worked out for the Cowboys. I've gotten positive feedback.

I just want to play -- anywhere. Although I grew up a Cowboys fan, and my home is Houston, it doesn't really matter where I play. I just want a chance.

I know one of the things working against me is my size. I'm not 6-foot-5 or 6-6. I'm 6-4. But if you stand me up, back-to-back, with a guy who is 6-5, the difference is between the fingers. If you can play, you can play. It doesn't matter how big you are. I am definitely out to prove my critics wrong.

My main goal is to outplay every tackle in this draft. I want to have a longer career in this league than any other tackle.

I'll probably spend Friday night at my mom's house. The draft starts at 10 a.m. Saturday. At first, I didn't want any kind of party, but the closer it's come, I've decided I do want to do something. So we're going to have food. We'll have barbecue and crawfish, and whoever wants to come through can.

If I don't get drafted Saturday, there will be plenty of food left Sunday. I will go to church Sunday before the draft starts back up.

The big party will come a week after the draft.

We're going to have people over to watch the fight -- Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather -- and to celebrate.

Whatever day I'm drafted, and wherever I end up, it's all going to be good.

I think its a good pick. He will be a right tackle in the league IMO. Good depth which every team needs.

If you have a strong running tackle at RT you can get away with a smaller LT that can protect the QB. Now this is a Tackle that played on a team looking to pass. It is a good gamble.

I like him just for his name. SUP HERB.

Taylor is smart, mobile and nasty. Could he potentially project as Wiegmann's replacement, or a better version of Bober who could play a couple of positions on the line?

TCU was an option based team.
