His strength is ballhawking, but Kiffen played him in the box. He did fine, but he wasn't in a position to put up the highlight INTs or similar stats that people were accustomed to seeing after his Jr. year.

I bet we go O line-just a feeling.

I cannot imagine Charlie Weis, after watching tape, suggesting to Haley and Pioli that they need to spend a top five pick on another left tackle.

Especially after newly minted Buffalo head coach Chan Gailey got such a strong performance from Albert his rookie year.

now whether they will actually select one that high is questionable.

that is VERY,VERY high to take a safety.

I looked through Holmgren's drafts from when he was in Seattle, and he only drafted one safety in the top 2 rounds ever, and that was Ken Hamlin in the 2nd round of the 2003 draft. On the other hand, he took 8 defensive lineman in the first 2 rounds through 11 drafts (so roughly 8 out of 22~ players). My numbers may be a little off, just glancing over shit.

Of course Cleveland drafts after us, so this isn't a huge worry I guess.

Honestly, I know very little about Tampa with Morris as the coach. I could see how they may want a safety if they run the cover 2 still, but I thought Will Allen and Pisticelli (sp?) were doing pretty good this year... I am probably wrong though. It also seems logical that a team which has Chris Hovan and Ryan Sims as the starting DT's is probably in need of some young viable talent. Not to take away from Hovan, but he is getting old and not what he once was, and Sims is never going to be much more than a backup. I really don't know what they are going to do, but IMO they need some DT's, so obviously Suh or McCoy, whichever is there.

Detroit spent a ton of money 2 years ago on their WROTF, and last year they spent a ton of money on their QBOTF, now they need to spend a ton of money on a LT to protect him (having already drafted their RTOTF). They have Delmas as well, so I would hope for the sake of the Lions fans that remain, they draft a LT (even if there aren't any great ones).

STL won't take a safety, but what they do take could change some stuff around for everybody else obviously.

If they take a QB, that leaves Suh for Tampa, though Detroit will have to think long and hard about taking Suh or not.

If STL takes Suh for some reason, then Detroit will go with a LT, leaving Tampa to choose McCoy (hopefully) or possibly Berry I guess (somebody with more knowledge here can explain better, please?).

Washington will probably go QB with the rat there now (but what if he likes Campbell?).

So I guess that leaves the Chiefs staff with the option to pick Berry. The question remains unanswered, of course, if they will **** it up or not.

i still think campbell has lots of upside and has just gotten absolutely shit on by the redskins coaching carrousel.

Well, that is kind of what I have thought. On top of that Campbell has a strong arm and can use his legs to make plays if it is absolutely necessary. He definitely has enough speed to make plays on those god damn bootlegs!

I can see the Bucs, Browns, or Skins taking Berry.

no way the skins take a safety at 5 or d for that matter when there o-line has been a merry go round for years.

They also have a HC who can do a good job with QB's and Oline, and also Okung isn't his style of LT.

there gonna go O, portis is a stud but isnt gettin any younger, the WR are middle of the road at best, the line is in shambles, i still think campbell has upside but at this point its unknown how much is left in his tank.

And they have insane money tied up on the defense.

RustShack 01-21-2010 04:30 PM

The one and only player Shannahan would take in this draft that high is Clausen. And if he likes Campbell half as much as he says hes not doing that. If Jason has any kind of talent he will excel under Mike. What sad is you can pick out Chiefs fans out of anyone when it comes to talking about the draft.. because Chiefs fans are the only idiots who think you HAVE to use a top five pick to build a good Oline.
