that is VERY,VERY high to take a safety.

I looked through Holmgren's drafts from when
he was in Seattle, and he only drafted one safety in the top 2 rounds ever, and that was Ken Hamlin in the 2nd round of the 2003 draft. On the other hand, he took 8 defensive lineman in the first 2 rounds through 11 drafts (so roughly 8 out of 22~ players). My numbers may be a little off, just glancing over shit.
Of course Cleveland drafts after us, so this isn't a huge worry I guess.
Honestly, I know very little about Tampa with Morris as the coach. I could see how they may want a safety if they run the cover 2 still, but I thought Will Allen and Pisticelli (sp?) were doing pretty good this year... I am probably wrong though. It also seems logical that a team which has Chris Hovan and Ryan Sims as the starting DT's is probably in need of some young viable talent. Not to take away from Hovan, but he is getting old and not what he once was, and Sims is never going to be much more than a backup. I really don't know what they are going to do, but IMO they need some DT's, so obviously Suh or McCoy, whichever is there.
Detroit spent a ton of money 2 years ago on their WROTF, and last year they spent a ton of money on their QBOTF, now they need to spend a ton of money on a LT to protect him (having already drafted their RTOTF). They have Delmas as well, so I would hope for the sake of the Lions fans that remain, they draft a LT (even if there aren't any great ones).
STL won't take a safety, but what they do take could change some stuff around for everybody else obviously.
If they take a QB, that leaves Suh for Tampa, though Detroit will have to think long and hard about taking Suh or not.
If STL takes Suh for some reason, then Detroit will go with a LT, leaving Tampa to choose McCoy (hopefully) or possibly Berry I guess (somebody with more knowledge here can explain better, please?).
Washington will probably go QB with the rat there now (but what if he likes Campbell?).
So I guess that leaves the Chiefs staff with the option to pick Berry. The question remains unanswered, of course, if they will **** it up or not.
