who takes berry before us and who do they have at Saftey?
just wondering what teams you guys think will draft berry before we get a chance to and what saftey he would be replacing because ive seen a couple different mocks with different teams taking him detroit and tampa bay mostly.

I think both cleveland, Tampa Bay and Detroit are in the safety market.
now whether they will actually select one that high is questionable. that is VERY,VERY high to take a safety.

Of course Cleveland drafts after us, so this isn't a huge worry I guess. Honestly, I know very little about Tampa with Morris as the coach. I could see how they may want a safety if they run the cover 2 still, but I thought Will Allen and Pisticelli (sp?) were doing pretty good this year... I am probably wrong though. It also seems logical that a team which has Chris Hovan and Ryan Sims as the starting DT's is probably in need of some young viable talent. Not to take away from Hovan, but he is getting old and not what he once was, and Sims is never going to be much more than a backup. I really don't know what they are going to do, but IMO they need some DT's, so obviously Suh or McCoy, whichever is there. Detroit spent a ton of money 2 years ago on their WROTF, and last year they spent a ton of money on their QBOTF, now they need to spend a ton of money on a LT to protect him (having already drafted their RTOTF). They have Delmas as well, so I would hope for the sake of the Lions fans that remain, they draft a LT (even if there aren't any great ones). STL won't take a safety, but what they do take could change some stuff around for everybody else obviously. If they take a QB, that leaves Suh for Tampa, though Detroit will have to think long and hard about taking Suh or not. If STL takes Suh for some reason, then Detroit will go with a LT, leaving Tampa to choose McCoy (hopefully) or possibly Berry I guess (somebody with more knowledge here can explain better, please?). Washington will probably go QB with the rat there now (but what if he likes Campbell?). So I guess that leaves the Chiefs staff with the option to pick Berry. The question remains unanswered, of course, if they will **** it up or not.

Well, that is kind of what I have thought. On top of that Campbell has a strong arm and can use his legs to make plays if it is absolutely necessary. He definitely has enough speed to make plays on those god damn bootlegs!

I am thinking the Colts. They really need a new WR to help Peyton win his 5th MVP next season.

Based on history, I'd say it's pretty unlikely Berry will be picked before 5.

Rams have Atowge so I doubt they take him
Lions have Delmas so I doubt they take him Bucs are the ones who could use Berry. But I think they will have McCoy and Suh higher on their board. So if they go #1, and #2 then I think Berry will be their pick Skins have big QB and OT needs so I doubt they take Berry. Especially with Landry, Hall and Rogers all on big deals. So if the Rams take Clausen then Berry should be on the board when we pick at #5. |

Delmas is a Strong Safety ... imo Berry should definitely be a Free Safety in the NFL.

Bucs seem like they could draft Mccoy before they draft a guy like Berry.

Why does everyone assume the Chiefs are going to draft Berry? Since when do they listen to the wishes of fans on a message board?
![]() Hell the possibility exists that they trade down for more picks.

With so many good safeties and no picks after the 5th round this isn't a horrible idea.

If Berry is the type of impact player as Ed Reed you'd want him with the 5th pick
