I will say this, there is plenty of good players to choose from in the 2nd on this mock.

He's had injury problems, I could see him sticking around to try to prove he can play a whole season.

After watching rudy sunday I would be willing to take the risk this year.

I could see him staying, but I'd still have him in my mock until he officially says he's staying.

If Jermaine Gresham falls to our second 2nd round pick, I think he would be hard to pass up. For one the Patriots liked to draft tight ends as much as 3-4 DL, second Cassel sucks at throwing more than 10 yards, third all-pro potential talent is there.

I agree with this. Don't think he will fall that far though.

Here would be my picks off that mock:

1. Eric Berry, S Tennessee
2. Von Miller, OLB Texas A&M
2. Jermaine Gresham, TE Oklahoma
3. Micah Johnson, LB Kentucky

i think its hilarious how much speculation the draft gets on CP. . . The draft has become way to big of a deal lately. it should be something that is looked at during the combine and before the draft not a year long discussion.

I also think having high draft picks is wayyyyy overrated, the truth is the teams looking for that high draft pick are going to rely way too much on that one person. which makes it an individual thing, and last time i checked football was a team sport.

which means the late 1st rounders who still have a lot of talent but got passed on by everyone else can produce better throughout their careers. Case in point guys like MJones-drew and c.johnson that use the fact that they were passed up as fuel for their fire.

i would much rather watch the chiefs draft last overall !!

not to mention, how will we ever know how to draft unless mel kiper jr. and todd mcshay and other so called "draft experts" tell us who is going to be the next best NFL player. since they have never been wrong before, lol

I have a tip for you. If you don't enjoy this sort of thing, don't click on the thread. Some of us do enjoy this sort of stuff... all year long. And yes, all of us want to pick later in the draft than earlier. Hitting home runs with these early picks helps us to get to those later draft picks.

I could see us taking another Oline pick in the second round.

Okay.... for decent teams the draft is a subject for a couple of months. But, for teams like the Chiefs.... it gives us something to look forward to.

As far as where we draft.... I think it is beneficial the closer to the top ten you can get.... but being in the top five is not good.

This. Not to mention it makes watching college football even better.

I think Gresham goes in the back end of the 1st, Arizona, Baltimore, Indy, someone like that.

Me too. And maybe even the 3rd as well. It may not go over well here, but it would damn sure help this team. Imagine what Charles could do if given the holes Priest Holmes had to run through. And imagine what that would do for our passing game.
