I don't want a lineman picked high in the 1st round. It never seems really to work out favorably. For us anyway.

* Clausen at #1?
* Not sure I'd want to pick OL that high

If we take Okung/Dwyer over Berry/Fox-Selvie Im not gonna support that for a second and will have serious doubts as to where this team is headed.

Using Walter's player availability I would much rather go:

1st Berry, S Tenn
2nd Fox, OT Maimi
2nd Round Kindle OLB Texas (no change here)
3rd Round Either:
Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford
or George Selvie, DE/OLB, South Florida
I would probably go with Gerhart, but I need to see him a little more.

I think this would be a much better draft.

They have some huge swings in player movement - Dan Williams going from 3rd round to mid 1st.

I'm still on the fence with Albert at LT. If he continues to suck, you can't really argue with Okung. Okung gets an undeserved bad rap on this board just because people don't want an OL taken with the first pick. Using this latest ranking, I'd draft:

1. Berry (choice B Okung).
2a. Norwood (choice B Hughes).
2b. Trent Williams
3. Tremendous value in the third round - Mike Johnson, Brandon Graham, Gilyard, Tennant, Micah Johnson.

I'd probably package up a 4th and 5th to get another 3rd if possible

i hope this bit on rush backers falling is true...

Quote:
Jerry Hughes has 15 TFL and 11.5 sacks for undefeated TCU this year. You may argue that this is too low for someone as talented as Hughes. That may be true, but teams are much more hesitant to take rush linebackers now because the conversion is so unpredictable. Just look at last year's results - no one in the top 15 selections took a rush linebacker. The Chargers (No. 16), Broncos (18) and Packers (26) went with one, but only Green Bay's selection (Clay Matthews) has panned out thus far.

It wasn't just last year; in 2008, the Jets were burnt by Vernon Gholston. They were the only team to gamble on a rush linebacker in the first round. I think some of these 3-4 guys take a tumble come April. I'm not saying Hughes won't be drafted in the first round - I considered mocking him to the Patriots - but don't be surprised if he, Von Miller and Sergio Kindle fall.

I'm not great at picking where guys will go in the draft, but I think Dwyer would be a steal in the second. That kid is special.

Walter having Mallet that high is laughable. The guy has a 10.5 minute long throwing motion. Frickin Byron Leftwich. He is realllll accurate on his deep throws though.
