im just saying everyone wants this guy or that guy, but the truth is the chiefs have 1 pick to make in the 1st round. 1 ! so this means almost everyone is going to be dissapointed when we take a tyson jackson type of guy. so i just dont see the reason to get all excited for nothing. they will draft who they want and all we can do is hope for the best.

I watched 10 Georgia games last year just to watch Matt Stafford. Tell me about it.

i think its hilarious how much speculation the draft gets on CP. . . The draft has become way to big of a deal lately. it should be something that is looked at during the combine and before the draft not a year long discussion.

I also think having high draft picks is wayyyyy overrated, the truth is the teams looking for that high draft pick are going to rely way too much on that one person. which makes it an individual thing, and last time i checked football was a team sport.

which means the late 1st rounders who still have a lot of talent but got passed on by everyone else can produce better throughout their careers. Case in point guys like MJones-drew and c.johnson that use the fact that they were passed up as fuel for their fire.

i would much rather watch the chiefs draft last overall !!

wow..thanks for the many profound thoughts....never heard any of that before..seriously, over the million posts on this board over a decade you're the first...i think we will all stop talking about the draft as a result of your insight into what is best for this board based on 148 posts...

What other hope is there, except to hope the team drafts players that you think will improve the team?

you are welcome, and sorry i dont post more. i will make sure i post more and only say things that please you. truth is the draft is for teams not worth a shit, and unless you have a good GM/ front office you will be drafting in the top 5 forever (like the lions)

So by all means talk about how and who you'd draft all you want, but to be honest there is probably something better you could be doing with your time. but maybe not in your case, you must be a talking trashcan, because your post stink

Actually the real fun of the draft is picking what players you like beforehand. That way overtime you see what people have a knack of doing it.

HotRoute 12-03-2009 03:59 PM

i mean really, when fans are hoping we loose all of our games so we get a better draft pick something is wrong. i never want to go that route. if i ever wanted the chiefs to loose for a better pick i would stop calling myself a fan

Is there really a big difference in winning 3 games or 5 games?

But if one pick is the difference in Eric Berry or Russell Okung then I would have hope we only won the 3.

Yea anyone who buys what he said is dumb, the teams that are consistently good draft well, if you can't draft you'll never win.
